General: The Pass Labs X1 is a balanced analog preamp that is housed in 2 chassis. One chassis is the preamp itself and the other chassis is the excellent oversized power supply for the preamp. A cable is included to send the power signal from the power supply to the preamp. The Pass Labs X1 does not appear often on the second-hand market, certainly not in the excellent condition this X1 is in.

Technology: The Pass Labs X1 is as straightforward as it gets. It uses high-quality components that are processed in a logical and neat way in the chassis. A large linear power supply for optimal control in its own chassis so there is no interference between the preamp and the power supply, and an excellent volume control is applied. The Pass Labs X1 is assembled very logically and uses exclusively high-quality components, and precisely because of its simplicity, this preamp excels in the ease with which it plays.

Listening: Listening to the Pass Labs X1 is a true pleasure, the spatial imaging is enormous and the sound is pleasant and refined. The sound of the Pass Labs X1 is anything but obtrusive and aggressive, but that does not mean it sounds boring and dull. The X1 simply sounds neutral and pleasant, very detailed and musical.

This Pass Labs X1 is in excellent condition and comes with the corresponding power supply cable.
