Die Ausführung ist in Dant Cherry, eine sehr schöne Holzsorte, und der Ascendant wird mit zwei schweren Steinplatten gegen Resonanzen geliefert. Auch diese Ascendants haben Aussparungen für die Apex Couplers, wodurch sie stabiler stehen. Die Ascendant MK2 war bereits einer der musikalischsten Avalons auf dem Markt, aber diese Version ist noch besser. Besonders am Ascendant ist die Leichtigkeit, mit der er spielt, und das große 3D-Bild. Großzügig, dynamisch, packend und eine sehr analoge Wiedergabe. Entspannt, präzise und packend und besonders rhythmisch. Durch den hohen Wirkungsgrad und die günstige Impedanz ist der Ascendant MK2 auch mit einfachen und leichten Verstärkern gut zu treiben.
