. C'est un système deux voies très solide et lourd avec des unités fantastiques. Le tweeter dôme Titane propre à Avalon Acoustics, et les unités woofer/médium en nid d'abeille très rigides et légères. Ces Avalons sonnent, comme tous les autres haut-parleurs Avalon, au mieux avec la façade en avant. La façade contient des bandes de feutre amortissant qui réduisent le rayonnement vers les côtés. De ce fait, l'Ascendant est moins sensible au placement dans la pièce, et les propriétés 3D sont véritablement excellentes. L'Ascendant est facile à commander, même avec des amplificateurs à tubes.

Son : L'Avalon Ascendant sonne grand, rythmé et très captivant. L'Ascendant sonne très beau, calme et ne connaît pas la fatigue auditive. These Avalon sound, like all the Avalon speakers, best with the grills in place. The grills contains absorbingfelt strips which reduced the soundradiation to the sides. That is why the Ascendant is less sensitive to placement in space, and the 3D soundfield excelles allways. The Ascendant is easily controllable, even with tube amplifiers.
