Algemeen : De Avalon Ascendant N ( ook wel MK2 genoemd ) is de nieuwste uitvoering van de Avalon Acoustics Ascendant, een tweeweg topklasse luidspreker. Deze laatste versie is voorzien van de nieuwste keramische tweeter en een vernieuwd scheidingsfilter.

Techniek : De nieuwe Avalon Acoustics Ascendant N is een technisch zeer goed doordachte luidspreker. De gewone Ascendant was al zeer goed, deze N versie doet er nog een stap bovenop. Het is een zeer zwaar uitgevoerd tweeweg systeem met fantastische units. De Avalon Acoustics Propriate Keramische dometweeter, en de zeer stijve en lichte honeycomb woofer/midrange units. Deze Avalons klinken, net als alle andere Avalon luidsprekers het beste met het front er voor. Het front bevat dempende viltstroken welke de afstraling naar de zijkanten verminderd. Daardoor is de Ascendant N minder gevoelig voor plaatsing in de ruimte, en zijn de 3D eigenschappen uitmuntend. De Ascendant N is makkelijk aanstuurbaar, ook met buizenversterkers.

Sound : De Avalon Ascendant N klinkt groots, ritmisch en zeer pakkend. Het verschil met de gewone Ascendant is vrij groot. Deze N versie klinkt veel opener en luchtiger, het hoog is schoner en heeft meer contrast. De Avalon Ascendant N is met name een zeer muzikale luidspreker, en een van de gemakkelijkst klinkende Avalons in het veld. Neerzetten, aansluiten en genieten. Technical : The new Avalon Acoustics Ascendant N is a technical very well thought loudspeaker. The standard Ascendant was already very good, but this Ascendant N provides an even better preformance. It's a heavily executed two way system with fantastic units. The Avalon Acoustics Propriate Ceramic dome tweeter, and the very stiff and ligt honeycomb bass/midrange units. These Avalon sound, just like all other Avalon loudspeakers the best with the front in front of the speaker. The front contains dampening strips wich reduce radiation to the sides. That's why the Avalon Ascendant N is less sensitive for the acoustics of the room and are easier to place. It's 3D qualities are extraordinary and very well preformed. The Ascendant N is easily powered, even with tube amplifiers or Class A amplifiers, you don't need an exeptional amount of Watt's.

Sound : The Avalon Ascendant N sounds big, catchy and has a great sense of rythm. The difference between the normal Ascendant is quite big. This N version sounds way more open and real, the high is cleaner and has more contrast.
