General : The Avalon Ascendant N ( also called MK2 ) is the newest version of the Avalon Acoustics Ascendant, a two-way reference loudspeaker. This latest version is equipped with the newest ceramic tweeter and a renewed crossover filter.

Technical : The new Avalon Acoustics Ascendant N is a technically very well-designed loudspeaker. The standard Ascendant was already very good, this N version takes it a step further. It is a very heavily constructed two-way system with fantastic drivers. The Avalon Acoustics Proprietary Ceramic dome tweeter, and the very rigid and light honeycomb woofer/midrange units. These Avalons sound, like all other Avalon loudspeakers, best with the front bezel in place. The front contains dampening felt strips which reduce radiation to the sides. This makes the Ascendant N less sensitive to room placement, and its 3D characteristics are excellent. The Ascendant N is easy to drive, even with tube amplifiers.

Sound : The Avalon Ascendant N sounds grand, rhythmic and very engaging. The difference compared to the standard Ascendant is quite significant. This N version sounds much more open and airy, the highs are cleaner and have more contrast. The Avalon Ascendant N is particularly a very musical loudspeaker, and one of the most naturally sounding Avalons in the market. Set them up, connect them and enjoy. Technical : The new Avalon Acoustics Ascendant N is a technical very well thought loudspeaker. The standard Ascendant was already very good, but this Ascendant N provides an even better performance. It's a heavily executed two way system with fantastic units. The Avalon Acoustics Proprietary Ceramic dome tweeter, and the very stiff and light honeycomb bass/midrange units. These Avalon sound, just like all other Avalon loudspeakers the best with the front in front of the speaker. The front contains dampening strips which reduce radiation to the sides. That's why the Avalon Ascendant N is less sensitive for the acoustics of the room and are easier to place. It's 3D qualities are extraordinary and very well performed. The Ascendant N is easily powered, even with tube amplifiers or Class A amplifiers, you don't need an exceptional amount of Watts.

Sound : The Avalon Ascendant N sounds big, catchy and has a great sense of rhythm. The difference between the normal Ascendant is quite big. This N version sounds way more open and real, the high is cleaner and has more contrast. The Avalon Ascendant N is a very musical loudspeaker in particular, one of the easiest sounding Avalon on the market. Just attach them to your set, play some music and enjoy.
