Music is the nourishment of our spirit. So many different spirits, so much different music as well. Everyone has their own musical preferences. Audiophiles, however, have additional demands on music. The music must be well recorded, sound spacious, natural, dynamic, clean, free from hum and noise, voices must be centered, it must be 3D, the sound must wrap around you, like at a real live concert.
With music, however, 1 thing must come first and that is artistic quality. But how do you judge that. People sometimes ask:
What do you think is good music? What music style do you like?
Who are you a fan of?
Which albums are really beautifully recorded? The answer to that is quite simple. We are fans of musicians who know how to move us and we find all music good that moves us. Music must be exciting. Or calming. Just whatever you feel like, but something must happen. That can be Pop music, Jazz music, Classical, World music or anything else. It doesn't really matter. Good music is good music. Of course, we, like every music lover, have built a beautiful collection over the past years. On the underlying pages we give some music tips of music that we find interesting.
When it comes to recording quality, that's actually quite obvious. A good recording for someone is that recording that moves someone. An absolute judgment about recording quality is impossible. Someone who likes fat basses finds those albums sound beautiful where the bass sounds nice and fat. Another person prefers dry tight basses. No problem at all and logical.
Music and recording quality are therefore purely subjective. At least that's our opinion. Of course there are really bad recordings, which nobody really finds sound good. You only have these in your possession if the music is at least still very good. Then you overlook that. But preferably we audiophiles and music lovers have good albums in our homes.
So it's mainly about fantastic music that is also fantastically recorded.
In the beginning there won't be many but we try to give a CD tip every week anyway.
