Lector Audio is one of Italy's oldest high-end manufacturers. Since 1982, Lector has been producing high-quality audio equipment, 2 channel only. No multichannel gear, no video equipment, only 2-channel audio equipment. Lector aims not only to make the best sounding audio equipment, but it must also remain reasonably affordable, and especially last a very long time. The manufacturer has proven this by successfully bringing audio equipment to market uninterrupted for 35 years.

Lector combines the most modern digital technology with proven tube technology, and when it comes to CD players, Lector also stands its ground mechanically. Mechanical stability is often overlooked by current audio manufacturers, but it really makes a difference how the CD drive is mounted in the housing.
Highlights include the fantastic CDP-707 top-loading CD player with the gyropoint drive mechanism, and the tube output stage without any form of feedback. This player features an external power supply with no fewer than 3 or 7 completely separate power circuits. Sound-wise a true top performer. The CDP-603 integrated CD player is also impressive, with its anti-resonance housing, tube output stage without feedback, and the beautiful and heavy power supply. Truly top quality at a truly low price.
Lector CDP-707 (without PSU)
Other top performers are the excellently tested DA Converters such as the Digitube S-192, the fully balanced Digicode 704, and the Gold Crown Tube Digicode S-192. Sound-wise they truly outperform the rest of the market in the same price range, and many times higher-priced models as well. Furthermore, the excellent amplifier line consisting of integrated amplifiers, preamplifiers, power amplifiers, and phono MM/MC preamplifiers.
Lector CDP-603 and ZAX-70
Lector chooses to let the customer determine how the equipment looks. With some models, you can optionally choose the side panels. This truly completes the equipment and also makes them more stable. The equipment that can be fitted with the beautiful side panels can be found in the Lector price list. Ohm-Audio bv standard choice is the side panels in high-gloss black Plexiglas.
