GENERAL.

General: The Ansuz Darkz C3W is a decoupler that improves the resonance properties for all types of audio equipment and speakers you place them under. The Ansuz Darkz C3W can be applied in any situation, they work under any type of equipment, amplifiers, D/A converters, streamers, turntables, power distributors/conditioners, routers, network switches and power supplies. Wherever you place the Ansuz Darkz C3W, the sound will be noticeably improved. Audio Group Denmark equipment (from Ansuz, Aavik, Børresen or Axxess) has feet that are specially designed to be placed on Ansuz Darkz. For equipment from other brands, the Ansuz Darkz C3W can be placed loosely under the base plate. There is also a spike dimple integrated into the Ansuz Darkz C3W for equipment and speakers that stand on spikes; you can simply place the spike in the dimple to decouple them. For audio equipment with 4mm, 6mm or 8mm threads on the underside, it is better to purchase the Ansuz Darkz Feet, once you have attached the Ansuz Darkz Feet under your equipment or speaker you have the option to choose between Titanium or Tungsten balls from Ansuz which you can then place on the Ansuz Darkz C3W in the designated dimples on top, you need 3 balls per Darkz C3W. The Ansuz Darkz Feet will then fit perfectly over these balls for perfect decoupling and improved sound. This also looks more aesthetically pleasing and the equipment can no longer slide off the feet in this way. Equipment from Audio Group Denmark (Ansuz Acoustics, Aavik Acoustics, Børresen Acoustics) comes standard with Darkz Feet mounted.

Technical: The Ansuz Darkz C3W Resonance Control consists of 3 discs/layers made of solid copper; the copper discs undergo surface treatment through Glass Blasting for better acoustic properties. Each material has its own sound character; copper is a material with excellent resonance properties and outstanding sound. By using copper instead of stainless steel or aluminum, the mechanical resonance controlling properties of the Darkz C3W are significantly better than those of the models below the Darkz C3W. Between each layer are 3 balls made of solid Tungsten; each Ansuz Darkz C3W contains 6 tungsten balls. All models of the Ansuz Darkz, including the C3W, are cryogenically treated for optimal crystal structure in the metals.

3rd Generation Darkz Improvements: The Ansuz Darkz C3W is actually a completely new introduction in the Darkz line. It is the first Darkz made of solid copper. What is an improvement over the previous generation Darkz is that the titanium balls between the discs have been replaced with tungsten balls. The tungsten balls have up to 4 times higher density compared to titanium, making them more effective at converting kinetic energy to heat. Additionally, the coupling piece in the middle is now made of solid titanium, whereas previously this coupling piece was made of aluminum. Titanium has better resonance properties than aluminum; the coupling piece that holds the discs and balls together also affects the sound.

Listening: The Ansuz Darkz C3W provide a very audible improvement to the soundstage, regardless of what type of equipment or speaker you place them under. The soundstage becomes clearer, tighter, more dynamic but also calmer and more natural. The sound essentially improves on every front. When you compare the Darkz C3W with the stainless steel S3W and S3T, it is clear that the Darkz C3W has better articulation and delivers a more rhythmic and detailed sound. Copper has a very pleasant and natural sound character. It is also interesting that after you have tried the Darkz C3W and remove them from under your equipment or speakers, a kind of emptiness suddenly appears, engagement is suddenly missing. Put the Ansuz Darkz C3W back in place under your equipment or speakers, and suddenly the engagement and magic are back. The Ansuz Darkz C3W also ensures that listening fatigue occurs less quickly; the sound is better balanced and less restless.

Ansuz Acoustics Darkz Balls: There are currently 2 types of Ansuz Darkz Balls available for those who want to place Ansuz Darkz C3W under their equipment in combination with the Ansuz Darkz Feet. You can choose between Titanium Balls or Tungsten Balls. The Tungsten Balls weigh 4 times as much as the Titanium Balls, which significantly improves the resonance absorbing and controlling properties. The difference in sound is that the Tungsten Balls sound fuller, more pleasant and more spacious than the already excellent Titanium balls.
