General: The MBL 1521 is a very exclusive high-end CD transport. Digital outputs only. The MBL 1521 is a beautifully finished device in a luxurious and solid housing. It features a top-loader system with a large heavy lid on top and a magnetic puck to keep the CD in place. The MBL 1521 can be operated with buttons on the front, but a remote control is also provided for operation from the listening chair.

Listening: The MBL 1521 is a very organic-sounding CD transport. The playback is musical and spatial. The music flows and everything that happens in the recording is transformed into a large and harmonious soundstage. The MBL 1521 has a pleasant sound, always clear, never pushy or harsh, yet very rhythmic in a pleasant way.
