General: The Ansuz Darkz Balls are designed to be placed in the dedicated recesses of the Ansuz Darkz isolators for an extra layer of isolation. The Ansuz Darkz Balls can also be used to stack Aavik Acoustics equipment. 3 Ansuz Balls are required per Ansuz Darkz.

Placement: The Ansuz Darkz isolators are resonance control feet that can be placed anywhere. For brands not under Audio Group Denmark, you can simply place the Ansuz Darkz under the bottom plate. However, for Aavik Acoustics, Ansuz Acoustics, Axxess equipment, or speakers from Borresen Acoustics or Axxess, you can place the Ansuz Darkz under the equipment's feet which are specifically designed for this purpose. The feet under Audio Group Denmark equipment are round and have the same diameter as the Ansuz Darkz isolators, with a hollow rim on the outside. The idea is that when you want to place Ansuz Darkz isolators under your Audio Group Denmark equipment or speaker, you do so in combination with Ansuz Darkz Balls (3 balls per Darkz isolator). You place the Ansuz Darkz Balls in the 3 recesses on top of the Ansuz Darkz isolator and then place the foot of your Audio Group Denmark equipment on top. Due to the hollow rim of the feet, they fit perfectly over the Ansuz Darkz Balls that rest on the Darkz Isolators. This provides multiple benefits: benefit number 1 is that you have an extra layer of isolation for better sound, benefit number 2 is that the equipment sits more stably and cannot slide off the isolator, benefit number 3 is that you can fine-tune the sound by choosing between Titanium or Tungsten balls.

Ansuz Titanium Balls: The Ansuz Titanium balls are 6.35mm diameter balls made of solid Titanium. Titanium is a material frequently used by Audio Group Denmark for its musical qualities. Titanium Balls are used between the layers of the Darkz isolators, with only the most expensive Darkz Z2 Signature using Tungsten Balls between the layers. However, the Darkz C2T, S2T, T2, and T2 Supreme use Titanium Balls between the discs of the isolator. The same applies to the Axxess Noir isolators, which also use Titanium Balls.

Ansuz Tungsten Balls: The Ansuz Tungsten balls have the same size as the Titanium Balls. However, the Tungsten balls material consists primarily of Tungsten, which has 3-4 times higher density than Titanium. This makes the Ansuz Tungsten balls considerably heavier, which provides better mechanical grounding of the equipment placed on top. These Tungsten balls are used in the finest isolators from Ansuz Acoustics: the Ansuz Darkz Z2 Signature. You can simply place Ansuz Tungsten balls on an Ansuz Darkz isolator that uses Titanium balls between the discs, which does not cause any mismatch. The Tungsten Balls generally sound a step better than the Titanium balls, wherever you apply them.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Titanium balls sound tight, clear, and open. An Ansuz Darkz isolator with Titanium balls sounds lighter and more articulate than a Darkz isolator without balls. The Ansuz Tungsten balls preserve the dynamics and articulation of the Titanium balls but add more body, space, and control in the midrange and bass. The Tungsten balls have more harmony in the sound and offer a more pleasant sound over the long term due to the fuller tone they provide. With the Tungsten balls you lose nothing in sound quality; you only gain more musicality compared to the Titanium balls.
