The High Power Suppression Capacitors are a proprietary Gigawatt development. The feet are also new and the entire housing has been further improved. Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ Power Buffers

Technology : The Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ is equipped with advanced Multi Stage Parallel filter (Iron Powder Filtering Cores) instead of the usual transformers. This Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ has 3 separate zones. A separate zone for digital devices (CD players, DA converters, streamers), a separate zone for low power analog (preamplifiers, phono preamplifiers, turntables) and a separate zone for high power analog (amplifiers, power amplifiers). The advantage of this is that the connected devices can no longer influence each other. A power amplifier often wants to feed power back into the mains, and this is prevented in this way. The Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ is made of very high quality components. Due to the new high efficiency filter circuits, the components are mounted on new boards, soldered with silver solder. The circuit boards themselves are single-sided, and equipped with 70 um thick copper traces. Power distribution is via heavy polished copper bars. The Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ has a special protection system, implemented without wires or fuses. Fuses compromise signal speed, and are therefore not used. The overvoltage protection circuit is controlled by a sensor at the input, and is equipped with a plasma relay. This way the Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ offers your system excellent protection against overvoltage or power surges. Proper functioning of the Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ is indicated by a blue LED on the front. The Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ is also equipped with an additional circuit that monitors the power supply. Also very handy is the phase indicator, via a red LED on the rear. If it lights up, the PC-2 Evo+ is connected incorrectly and you need to reverse the power plug. This ensures your system is always connected to the correct phase and the Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ functions as intended. The Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ is equipped with 6 high quality Gigawatt G-040 Schuko outlets. These outlets are equipped with heavy brass bars, which at Gigawatt are silver-plated and polished. The large contact area and the heavy silver coating guarantee a very long lifespan, even with repeated plugging and unplugging of plugs. The Gigawatt PC-2 Evo+ is built in a heavy and stable metal housing, has a massive anodized aluminum front, and stands on new anti-resonance feet.

Power Buffer : In addition to the fast and compact power storage technology used in the PF-1 and PF-2 power strips, and the PC-1 Evo+, the PC-2 Evo+ features 3 extra large storage buffers (power banks). Each zone has its own buffers. The great advantage is an increased speed and power for your connected equipment, and an even better separation between the 3 zones. As a result, the PC-2 Evo+ sounds even cleaner, more open and more powerful.

DC Blocker Board : Previously the DC Blocker was an option for the PC-2 Evo+ power conditioner. This DC Blocker (DCB) is now standard built into the PC-2 Evo+. A DCB removes the last remnants of DC components from the power. Despite the fact that we use 230 Volt AC in the Netherlands, there is often still a few volts DC in the supplied power. Your equipment may respond poorly to this. The transformer can start to hum, and your Hi-Fi equipment can become restless. A DC blocker board removes the DC components from the power so your Hi-Fi equipment performs optimally. Incidentally, an isolation transformer also does this well, but an isolation transformer is very bad for sound quality, so don't use it.
