Unlike the Power Plants from some competitors, the Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ consumes barely any power itself, just a few watts. Technology: The Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ features advanced, in-house manufactured Multi Stage Parallel filters (Super MMS Filtering Cores) instead of the usual transformers. The Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ has 3 separate zones. A separate zone for Digital devices (CD players, DA Converters, Streamers), a separate zone for low power Analog (Preamps, Phono preamps, Turntables), and a separate zone for High Power Analog (Amplifiers, Power Amplifiers). The advantage is that connected devices can no longer interfere with each other. A power amplifier often tries to send power back to the grid, and this approach prevents that. The Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ is made from high-quality components. Thanks to the new high-efficiency filter circuits, components are mounted on new boards, soldered with silver solder. The circuit boards themselves are double-sided, and feature 280 um thick copper traces that are silver-plated. Power distribution is via heavy polished copper bars, and internal wiring is executed as silver-plated OFC copper, insulated with Teflon. The Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ has a special protection system, executed without wires or fuses. Fuses compromise signal speed and are therefore not used. The overvoltage protection circuit is controlled by a sensor at the input and features a Plasma relay. Thus the Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ offers your system excellent protection against overvoltage or power spikes. Proper operation of the Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ is indicated by a LED Voltage Display on the front. This shows the incoming voltage exactly. The Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ also features an additional circuit that monitors the power supply. Also very useful is the Phase indicator, via a red LED on the back. If it lights up, the PC-3 Evo+ is connected incorrectly and you must reverse the power plug. This ensures your system is always properly connected to the correct phase and the Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ functions as intended. The Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ is equipped with 6 high-quality Gigawatt G-040 Schuko outlets. These outlets feature heavy brass bars that are silver-plated and polished at Gigawatt. The large contact surface and the heavy silver layer guarantee a very long service life, even with repeated plugging and unplugging of plugs. The Gigawatt PC-3 Evo+ is built in a heavy and stable metal enclosure, has a massive anodized aluminum front, and stands on anti-resonance feet.

Power Buffer: In addition to the fast and compact power storage technology used in the PF-1 and PF-2 Power Strips and the PC-1 Evo, the PC-3 Evo+ features 3 extra-large storage buffers (Double Buffer Power Banks). Each zone has its own buffers. The major advantage is increased speed and power for your connected equipment, and even better separation between the 3 zones. As a result, the PC-3 Evo+ sounds even cleaner, more open, and more powerful.

DC Blocker Board: Previously, the DC Blocker was an option for the PC-4 Evo+ Power Conditioner. This DC Blocker (DCB) is now standard built into the PC-4 Evo+. A DCB removes the last traces of DC components from the power. Despite the fact that we use 230 Volt AC in the Netherlands, there is often still a few volts DC in the supplied power. Your equipment can react poorly to this. The transformer might start humming, and your Hi-Fi equipment might become unstable. A DC Blocker Board removes DC components from the power so your Hi-Fi equipment performs optimally. Incidentally, an isolation transformer also does this well, but an isolation transformer is very bad for sound quality, so do not use it.
