General: The Gigawatt PF-1 Evo+ is the latest version of the PF-1 power strip, designed for power distribution and protection of high-quality audio and video systems.

The PF-1 Evo+ is a special product in the Gigawatt range because it impresses with its solid construction and quality of finish and sound for a very affordable price, delivering an extremely positive effect on the sound quality of the connected system, and your TV screen or projector also benefits greatly from this power strip. The Gigawatt PF-1 Evo+ is made from high-quality components. Distortion in the power supply is filtered through an RLC filter block. This is built with metallized polyester capacitors with low inductance and an IP core (iron powder). All filter components are soldered onto a solid PCB with large trace cross-sections, and Gigawatt uses silver solder. The Gigawatt PF-1 Evo+ also eliminates the use of traditional protective elements, such as wire or thermal fuses, which restrict free current to the protected circuits and thereby negatively impact sound quality. Protection against overvoltage and power spikes is guaranteed by a multi-stage protection circuit consisting of a new generation of UltraMOV varistors. These elements, working together with a well-designed, modern power distribution system, guarantee comprehensive protection against overcurrent and overvoltage.

The PF-1 Evo+ uses an innovative distribution system between outputs, a proprietary development by the company. This system consists of solid 35mm² pure copper distribution bars. The internal wiring consists of Gigawatt's own Powerlink conductors, which are solid-core OFHC copper conductors with a cross-section of 4mm². The use of star wiring and the high purity and size of the conductors guarantee equal and stable power distribution, regardless of the load on the strip's outlets.

The PF-1 Evo+ power strip is equipped with six Gigawatt G-040 Schuko outlets, which are designed and manufactured by Gigawatt itself. The brass connectors of the G-040 outlets are silver-plated at the factory without the use of intermediate metals, such as copper or nickel, which could introduce unfavorable series resistance and voltage loss. The larger contact area and thick silver coating guarantee excellent contact with the pins of the connected plug. The Gigawatt G-040 outputs are furthermore subjected to cryogenic treatment for improved conductivity and signal transmission to the conductors. For safety, the G-040 contact sockets are equipped with integrated anti-insertion protection (enhanced protection against accidental contact, in accordance with VDE 0620).

The solid and durable metal chassis of the strip creates perfect shielding that protects the filters and power distribution system against RFI noise. The power strip is also equipped with a good LED signal function for indicating power at the outlets.

The power strip is standard equipped with the PowerSync power cable with a length of 1.5 meters. The Gigawatt PF-1 Evo+ is also available with the PowerSync Plus and the Gigawatt LC-2 Evo power cord for improved performance. Longer lengths are also available.
