Technical : Nime Audio Design is an independent brand, something we appreciate in the high-end audio world. They manufacture many 2-way speakers with a very unique, elongated and angular design with integrated stand. The Nime Audio Design Poetica stands apart from other Nime Audio Design speaker models. The Nime Poetica is a large 3-way monitor speaker with a square design that is placed separately on a stylish stand. All units used come from German Accuton, a brand that manufactures drivers for a wide range of high-end brands including, for example, Marten Design, Gauder Akustik, Tidal Audio and Estelon to name just a few. The cabinet of the Nime Poetica is made from 40mm thick composite with high density and excellent damping properties. The Nime Poetica is asymmetrical; in both speakers the woofer is in the middle, but the midrange and tweeter are in their own compartment in opposite corners at the front. This gives you the option to position the tweeter & midrange on the inside or outside, allowing you to adjust the soundstage to your preference. All components used have been selected with quality as the sole focus. The crossovers feature the highly sophisticated Mundorf Mcap Supreme capacitors and Mundorf OFC Copper Foil Inductors, the internal wiring is from Transparent Cable from America and the speaker connectors are from WBT. The combination of beautiful design, thoughtful engineering and top-quality components ensures magnificent and balanced sound reproduction.

Listening : The Nime Poetica sounds fantastic, right out of the box you can hear that we are dealing with a very musical speaker. The Accuton units have virtually no distortion and are extremely fast, resulting in a very open and transparent reproduction with enormous rhythm and detail. The soundstage is airy, spatial and tangible; the moment you close your eyes, the speakers disappear and you step into the hall/studio/arena. Because the Nime Poetica is a large 3-way speaker, it also extends beautifully deep into the bass. The low tones have a lot of body and sound full and round but also well-defined; a double bass sounds like a double bass and solid electronic recordings are presented very stably as they should be. The high, mid and low frequencies blend seamlessly together, providing a very pleasant and balanced reproduction with an overall picture that simply sounds right. The Nime Poetica is a speaker for life with a very intriguing sound that will captivate forever and will make you rediscover your favorite recordings. The Nime Audio Design Poetica are now permanently available as demo units at Ohm-Audio B.V.; you can listen to them by appointment while enjoying a delicious cup of coffee.
