Introduction: The Gigawatt PF-1e (Economic) is Gigawatt's affordable entry-level power strip. It is a simplified version of the Gigawatt PF-1 Evo. The architecture of the filtering method is largely the same as that of the PF-1 Evo, and the PF-1e also offers the same protection as the PF-1 Evo does. By economizing on the most expensive components, it achieves a very affordable price, resulting in excellent value for money. Additionally, the Gigawatt PF-1e is the only Gigawatt power strip that can also be supplied without a power cord. However, it is still recommended to connect a high-quality power cord to it, such as the Gigawatt Powersync Plus, to fully realize the PF-1e's potential.

Technical Details: In designing the PF-1e, Gigawatt moved away from the most expensive components used in the PF-1 Evo. Nevertheless, high-quality components are used, and the guaranteed safety level has not been reduced. As mentioned earlier, the filtering architecture remains the same as that of the PF-1 Evo. Interference is blocked by an RLC filter block built around high-quality metallized polyester capacitors with low AC resistance (inductance) and an Iron Powder filter core. All filter elements are soldered with silver solder onto a solid printed circuit board, and the signal paths on the board are made as wide as possible for optimal current transfer.

No Current Restriction: Gigawatt's vision is primarily based on restricting current as little as possible, allowing power to flow as freely as possible to your audio system. This vision is accompanied by the use of high-quality materials and pure silver and copper conductors. An example of this is the absence of fuses in any Gigawatt power filter or power conditioner, and likewise, no fuses are used in Gigawatt's meter cabinet switch, the G-C16A. An audiophile fuse or standard fuse is still a fuse, and a fuse will always have a detrimental effect on sound quality. Overvoltage protection is provided by plasma spark gaps and the latest generation of UltraMOV varistors. These ensure optimal protection for your audio system without restricting current and thus without compromising sound quality.

Housing: The chassis of the Gigawatt PF-1e is made entirely of metal. This resonance-damped, stable housing also provides additional protection for the circuit against RFI and EMI. The internal wiring is 2.5mm² oxygen-free OFC copper. The outlets used are Gigawatt's own outlets with sturdy, well-protected contacts that are also cryogenically treated and demagnetized. The housing of the Gigawatt outlet is made of reinforced black nylon. The connections are made of directly silver-plated brass, without using an intermediate metal layer. Usually a layer of copper or nickel is added, but this would cause poor serial resistance and thus reduce voltage. Direct silver coating minimizes the connection resistance to an almost immeasurable level, close to absolute zero. This greatly improves the sonic characteristics of the final product. A strong, stable connection, larger contact surface area, and a thick layer of silver guarantee perfect contact with the plug pins.
