The PF-2 EVO+ is the best powerstrip in the Gigawatt offering, as it impresses with its solid construction and quality of finish, and, for such an affordable price, has an extremely positive effect on the sound quality of the connected set, and your TV screen or projector also benefits greatly from this Powerstrip. The Gigawatt PF-2 Evo+ is made of high-quality components and has a double amount of filtering techniques on board. Distortion in the power supply is filtered in an RLC filter block. This is built with Miflex metallized polyester capacitors with low inductance and an iron powder core. All components of the filters are soldered on a solid PCB with large cross-sections of the PCB traces, and Gigawatt uses silver solder.

In the Gigawatt PF-2 Evo+, traditional protective elements such as wire or thermal fuses, which restrict free current to the protected circuits and thereby have a negative effect on sound, have been eliminated. Protection against overvoltage and current surges is guaranteed by a multi-stage protection circuit consisting of a new generation of UltraMOV varistors. These elements, which work together with a well-designed, modern power grid, guarantee comprehensive protection against overcurrent and overvoltage.

The PF-2 EVO+ uses an innovative distribution system, a proprietary development of the company. It is based on solid pure copper distribution bars of the 2nd generation, made from very pure polished copper. This system distributes power directly to each pair of outlets using a crimp connection which is bolted with the latest Gigawatt PowerLink internal wiring consisting of 4mm² solid core pure copper. The use of star wiring and the high conductivity and solid cross-section of approximately 30 mm² of each of the distribution bars guarantees equal and stable power distribution, regardless of the load on the outlets of a strip.

The PF-2 EVO+ power strip is equipped with six high-quality Gigawatt G-040 Schuko outlets, which are designed and manufactured by Gigawatt itself. The brass connectors of the G-040 outlets are silver-plated at the factory, without the use of intermediate metals such as copper or nickel, which could introduce unfavorable series resistance and voltage loss. The larger contact surface and thick layer of silver ensure excellent contact with the pins of the connected plug. The Gigawatt G-040 are also subject to cryogenic modification and a demagnetization process. For safety, the G-040 outlets are equipped with integrated anti-insertion protection (enhanced protection against contact, in accordance with VDE 0620).
