Technology : The Nime Audio Design Mya is a highly advanced speaker. The Mya is made of HDF, solid wood and stainless steel. First of all, the shape stands out. And this shape is not without reason. If you want a speaker with a small radiating surface, to optimize the imaging performance, you still need sufficient internal cabinet volume. Otherwise the drivers will be stressed, and cabinet resonances will arise, which you can hear directly in the sound. The cabinet is deep, but also slopes upward at an angle. Also, the cabinet has no parallel walls. The cabinet is a technical marvel and very difficult to manufacture. The drivers themselves come from Accuton from Germany. These units are among the best available on the market. A 17cm ceramic driver with a foam core, and a pure ceramic tweeter, with a neodymium magnet, provide the electro/acoustic conversion. Top-tier units that deliver a very beautiful open and pure, but also stress-free sound. The drivers are mounted in a machined stainless steel front plate. For rigidity and precision. The stand is an integrated part of the Mya. The stand ensures the correct radiation height. The switchable filter is also mounted in the stand. This has significant tonal advantages.
