General: The Amati Folgore is a special limited edition version of the latest version of the renowned Amati loudspeakers from the Italian brand Sonus Faber. Only 100 pairs of the Sonus Faber Amati Folgore were made. The Amati Folgore is an improved version of its predecessor, the Amati Tradition.

Technical: The cabinet of the Amati G5 has remained largely the same compared to its predecessor, the Amati Tradition. What has been preserved is the Stealth Ultra Flex bass port on the rear, which not only ensures good air flow distribution at the rear, but also provides structural integrity for the cabinet. Most improvements have been applied to the technical side of the loudspeakers. New is the improved crossover that Sonus Faber calls the 'Phase Coherent Crossover', which is made with only high-quality components that are hand-soldered. The midrange driver has been completely redesigned with a 150mm midrange driver featuring a specially designed phase plug for the membrane, which ensures minimal turbulence and a more consistent music wave pattern, resulting in a smoother frequency response and better articulation. The two 220mm bass woofers per speaker are powerfully driven by a Dual Drive Neodymium magnet system for optimal, powerful and controlled bass reproduction.

Folgore Edition: The Sonus Faber Folgore is a collaboration between Sonus Faber and Italian automaker Maserati. As Sonus Faber also provides high-end car audio for Maserati vehicles, Maserati now returns the favor to Sonus Faber by lending their stunning Rame Folgore color to create a highly limited version of the Amati G5. The Rame Folgore color is a matte glossy brown finish. Very chic, sleek, modern yet classical, a true feast for the eyes. On top of the speakers you will find the Maserati logo, a trident. On the front of the Amati Folgore there is no leather as in the standard Amati G5 versions, instead a layer of Econyl is applied. Econyl is a sustainable material that is also used in the seats of the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore. In this material you can see a beautiful pattern emerge. The Sonus Faber Amati Folgore is the most stunning and exclusive version of the Amati G5 and an absolute must-have for Maserati fans who also appreciate good sound. But don't worry, these speakers are also available for purchase without a Maserati.

Listening: The Sonus Faber Amati Folgore is so far the most effortless-sounding Amati from Sonus Faber. The Amati Folgore takes a step further in terms of clarity, transparency and detail compared to the Amati Tradition. Despite the Amati Folgore's sound being dynamic, transparent and lively, the sound is still pleasant as we are accustomed to from Sonus Faber. There is an agreeable calm throughout the sound and there is a natural but not exaggerated warmth present. The more modern Amati Folgore simply sounds tighter in the bass, more articulate and honest in the midrange, and more refined and precise in the treble.
