General : The Ansuz Acoustics Signalz X3 is the latest entry-level analog interlink from Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The new Signalz X3 now belongs to the Steel Series of Ansuz Acoustics. The Steel Series of Ansuz is called the Steel Series because the gold-plated connectors are housed in a stainless steel (CRES 316) enclosure. The predecessor of the Signalz X3, the Signalz X2, had connectors in an aluminum enclosure. And for Ansuz Acoustics, that is a problem. Audio Group Denmark (under which Ansuz falls) is constantly researching different materials. Titanium, copper, stainless steel and even zirconium are frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid aluminum in its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on sound, giving it an artificial tone through resonance behavior and causing hysteresis. Instead of solving the problems caused by aluminum later, Audio Group Denmark chose to address the problem at the source and no longer use aluminum in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and are stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. The Ansuz Signalz X3, in the case of the RCA version, is a stiff solid core cable with very good mechanical stability, in the case of the X3 XLR the cable consists of multiple twisted conductors and is somewhat more flexible. The conductors are effectively insulated in Teflon, with a mesh of tinned copper around it. The Ansuz Signalz X3 is handmade in the Audio Group Denmark factory in Aalborg, Denmark.

Sound Characteristics : The Ansuz Acoustics Signalz X3 has a natural and lively sound. The bass is tight and rhythmic and the dynamics are excellent. Yet the sound remains within comfortable boundaries, it is transparent as it should be but it is not unnecessary spectacle, just like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics. Everything you hear is pure music, we could talk about the body of the bass and the detail in the treble. But with Ansuz Acoustics, we don't need to discuss that, instead we talk about the enormous musical qualities that the products of Ansuz Acoustics bring with them. The more affordable Ansuz Signalz X3 is absolutely no exception here. The spatial imaging is large, airy and pleasant and you are immediately involved with the performers and the music. The time to listen to sounds has ended, the time to listen to music has begun.
