General : The Aavik Acoustics Universal Remote Control can be used with all Preamplifiers, Power Amplifiers, Integrated Amplifiers, Unity Amplifiers, D/A Converters, Streamers and Phono Preamplifiers from Aavik Acoustics from Denmark. It is an ideal replacement for the small Apple remotes that Aavik Acoustics supplied with their equipment. This remote now comes standard with Aavik equipment, but people who still have the small Apple remote can now order the new remote separately to use with their Aavik equipment. The nice thing about this universal remote is that you only need 1 remote to control all your Aavik devices, whereas the Apple remote was paired to 1 device and for a separate Aavik Streamer/DAC/Integrated Amplifier combination you needed no less than 3 separate remotes, with this Aavik Universal Remote you only need 1 remote.

The remote can be set with one button press to function as a remote for amplifiers, DACs, streamers or RIAA (phono) preamplifiers.

Buttons on the remote :

1. Information button, displays information such as internal temperature or the file format being played.

2. Menu button, click this button to enter the menu and then use the arrow buttons on the remote (button 12.) left and right to scroll through different settings, use up and down arrows to change the current setting on the display.

3. Amplifier button, click this button to use the remote with Aavik or Axxess amplifiers.

4. Streamer button, click this button to use the remote with Aavik or Axxess streamers.

5. RIAA button, click this button to use the remote with Aavik or Axxess RIAA / Phono Preamplifiers.

6. D/A Converter button, click this button to use the remote with Aavik or Axxess D/A Converters. (For use with Aavik Unity amplifiers with internal DAC, use the Amplifier button 3.).

7. Volume Down.

8. Mute, Volume Off.

9. Volume Up.

10. Invert Phase, click this button to rotate the phase of the signal 180 degrees. Only to be used with D/A Converters or amplifiers with built-in DAC.

11. Standby, click this button to put your device in standby mode, or to turn the device on from standby mode.

12. Selection Arrows,

Outside the menu you can use the arrows ← and → to switch inputs and the arrows ↑ and ↓ to control the volume.

Within the menu you can use the arrows ← and → to scroll through different settings and the arrows ↑ and ↓ to change the current setting.
