In all cases, this is the C19 version of the power cord. The PC-4 Evo+ uses an input for a C19 connector (also called a 20 amp connector). The power cord used is very important, as it determines the final improvement in sound quality of your PC Evo+ power conditioner. Technology:

The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ is equipped with advanced, in-house made multi-stage parallel filters (High Flux Filtering Cores) instead of conventional transformers.

This Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ also features 3 separate zones. A separate zone for digital devices (CD players, DA converters, streamers), a separate zone for low power analog (preamplifiers, phono preamplifiers, turntables) and a separate zone for high power analog (amplifiers, power amplifiers). The advantage is that connected devices can no longer influence each other. A power amplifier often wants to send current back into the grid, and this is prevented in this way. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ is made from very high quality components. Due to the new high efficiency filter circuits, the components are mounted on new boards, soldered with silver solder.

The circuit boards themselves are double-sided, and feature 550 µm thick copper traces which are silver-plated. Power distribution is via heavy polished and silver-plated copper bars and the internal wiring is made as silver-plated OFC copper, insulated with Teflon, sourced from the Gigawatt LC-2 Evo Power Cord. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ has a special protection system, implemented without wires or fuses. Fuses affect signal speed, so they are not used. The overvoltage protection circuit is controlled by an input sensor and features a plasma relay. This way the Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ offers your system excellent protection against overvoltage or power surges.

Proper operation of the Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ is indicated by an LED voltage display on the front. This shows the exact incoming voltage. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ also has an additional circuit that monitors the power supply. Also very useful is the phase indication via a red LED on the back. If it lights up, the PC-4 Evo+ is connected incorrectly and you need to reverse the power plug. This ensures your system is always connected to the correct phase and the Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ functions as it should. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ has power distribution bars made of solid OFC copper, which are then silver-plated and polished. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ is equipped with 12 high-quality Gigawatt G-040 Schuko outlets. These outlets feature heavy brass bars, which are silver-plated and polished at Gigawatt. The large contact surface and heavy silver layer guarantee a very long service life, even with repeated plug insertion and removal.

The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo+ is built in a heavy and stable aluminum enclosure, features a solid anodized aluminum front, and stands on new ball-bearing feet.

DC Blocker Board: Previously, the DC blocker was an option for the PC-4 Evo+ power conditioner. This DC blocker (DCB) is now standard built into the PC-4 Evo+. A DCB removes the last traces of DC components from the power. Despite the fact that we use 230 volt AC in the Netherlands, there is often still a few volts DC in the delivered power. Your equipment may react poorly to this. The transformer may hum a bit, and your HiFi equipment may also behave restlessly. A DC blocker board removes DC components from the power so your HiFi equipment performs optimally. By the way, an isolation transformer does this too, but an isolation transformer is a break in the signal path which results in inferior sound reproduction in our opinion.

Power Buffer: In addition to the fast and compact power storage technology used in the PF-1 and PF-2 power strips, and the PC-1 Evo, the PC-4 Evo+ features 3 extra large storage buffers (double buffer high capacity power banks). The largest of all Gigawatt power conditioners. Each zone has its own buffers.
