General: The LRS+ (Little Ribbon Speaker Plus) is the successor to the LRS. The same compact form factor with even better performance!

Technical: The Magnepan LRS+ is designed with high-end equipment to optimize sound quality. It is a 2-way Quasi Ribbon speaker, just like the MG.7, but in a smaller and more accessible format. The Magnepan LRS+ performs excellently with many amplifiers, but is actually designed to be paired with high-quality equipment. Only on a truly high-quality setup will you hear what the Magnepan LRS+ is really capable of. That said, you can still enjoy plenty of musical pleasure listening to the Magnepan LRS+ on, for example, a receiver. The cabinet of the Magnepan LRS+ is sturdy and stable. On the feet you will find brackets that allow you to tilt the Magnepan LRS+ a bit more upright if you are sitting closer to it. By itself, the Magnepan LRS+, like the LRS, leans back slightly.

Listening: The Magnepan LRS+ takes the quality of the regular LRS and pushes it even further. The difference is immediately noticeable right out of the box! The soundstage is stunningly 3D and the placement is nothing short of extremely accurate. Like the LRS and the rest of Magnepan's lineup, the LRS+ has a very open character. The bass is just slightly fuller, still wonderfully tight and defined, nothing to complain about. The main difference from the LRS is that the LRS+ sounds even more musical and detailed. It costs a bit more than the standard LRS, but in our view it is more than worth it.

We have the Magnepan LRS+ in stock in black and can deliver immediately after ordering. The high shipping costs are due to the fragility; we must choose between using a courier service or reinforcing the packaging ourselves for shipping, which costs money and effort.
