General : The Seawave Acoustic Aletheia III is a High End 2-way monitor speaker with enormous musical qualities.

Technology : The construction method, like all other Seawave Acoustic speakers, is very special. The enclosure is made in one piece from AC4C Aluminium / Magnesium / Silicon, cast in a mould. This results in a very heavy and resonance-free enclosure, which is a fantastic platform for the ultra-fast units of the Seawave Acoustic Aletheia III. The Seawave Acoustic Aletheia III is a pure 2-way speaker with 2 very fast and pure-sounding units. The woofer is a modified Eton 170mm unit with a phase plug. This unit is used up to 2KHz and is then taken over by a Seawave made pure Beryllium dome tweeter of 28mm. The 2 units are connected to the very special filter entirely designed and built by Seawave Acoustic. Like the slightly larger Seawave Acoustic AM23, the Aletheia III has in-house made resistors and the special copper foil coil made of OFC copper and Teflon foil. This unique coil is a tenth the length of a conventional coil, and that has very significant advantages for the control of the woofer, which therefore plays extremely deep and is very well controlled by the connected amplifier. The capacitors are also made by Seawave Acoustic. All components, including the Litz wires of the units, are connected via the NST principle of Seawave Acoustic, which means Non Soldering Technique. The Seawave Acoustic Aletheia III is completely solder-free; all connections are clamped under high pressure. This also provides special advantages for sound quality. The Seawave Acoustic Aletheia III is a unique speaker and sonically easily outperforms equally priced or even more expensive commercial giants in the audio world.

Listening : Where the Seawave Acoustic Aletheia AM23 requires an enormous break-in time of many hundreds of hours (due to the horn midrange driver), the Seawave Acoustic Aletheia III is immediately ready. A very dynamic and open sound with fantastic fine bass reproduction is the first thing that stands out. But it's not just dynamics and purity; the detail is also of a very high level. Details you may never have heard before suddenly stand out without being emphasized. The music is simply there. We have not heard this quality of reproduction for this price before. The Seawave Acoustic Aletheia III can also play quite loudly. All in all, the Seawave Acoustic Aletheia III is an extremely successful speaker which will function well in large and small rooms. We absolutely recommend having the Seawave Acoustic Aletheia III played with the optional Seawave Acoustic stands. These are made of solid aluminum and are equipped with spikes and decoupling blocks between the speakers.
