General: The Ansuz Sortz are effective noise cancelling plugs that you can insert into unused inputs and outputs of your audio equipment. This advertisement concerns the 'large' Sortz 3rd Gen. with a choice between XLR-Male, XLR-Female, USB-A, USB-B or RJ45 (ethernet) connectors.
Technology: The Ansuz Sortz S3/C3/T3 belong to the latest generation Sortz from Danish manufacturer Ansuz Acoustics. They succeed the Ansuz Sortz, Sortz Supreme and Sortz Signature. Inside the housing of the Ansuz Sortz are Gold Anti Aerial Resonance Coils (AARC). These AARC consist of a massive zirconium rod with a hand-wound double coil around it, made from silver-plated and subsequently gold-plated copper conductors. The coils are wound in 2 directions; you have the coil and a counter coil. Because the coil and counter coil are wound in opposite directions, noise is transmitted in 2 ways, once in phase and once out of phase. This effectively eliminates the noise; the basic principle is no different from a noise cancelling headphone, except it now happens not through software, but through coils. This noise suppression effect is immediately audible, with just 1 Sortz in your system. The more Sortz you use, the more this effect is amplified and the more musical your sound becomes. However, it is certainly not necessary to equip literally all inputs and outputs with Sortz; with just a few Sortz in your system, the sound is already much better.
Differences Between Sortz S3, C3 and T3: The previous generation Sortz came in a solid aluminum housing, and in the case of the Sortz Supreme and Sortz Signature, there was also a specially applied coating on top. The Sortz plugs into your unused inputs or outputs of your equipment; because you are adding a new element to the housing, it is important that the resonance properties of this element are good. The way a particular material vibrates in a particular shape also affects the sound; additionally, different materials have better protective properties against EMI and RFI. So the material the Sortz is made from has a major influence on its function and thus also the sound. The only difference between the Sortz S3, C3 and T3 is in the material used for the housing. The 'S' in S3 stands for 'Stainless Steel'; the housing of the Sortz S3 is made from stainless steel. The 'C' in C3 stands for 'Copper'; the housing of the Sortz C3 is made from solid copper, copper has better resonance properties and is more effective due to its superior conductive properties in absorbing and blocking noise from outside. The 'T' in T3 stands for Titanium, a highly favored material by Ansuz Acoustics; you encounter this material in virtually all reference equipment and accessories/cables from Ansuz because of its excellent resonance properties and the outstanding sound that results from using this material.
Listening to Sortz S3: Silence. As soon as you use just 1 Ansuz Sortz S3 in your system, the silence immediately stands out, the calm and the clarity of the recording. More layers in the recording reveal themselves, the bass becomes tighter and less resonant, and voices sound more natural and fuller. There is more air around the performers and sounds, and because of this the placement of everything in the soundstage is easier to perceive.
Listening to Sortz C3: Space. The Ansuz Sortz C3 does much of what the Sortz S3 does, but also provides more space, more depth and therefore a greater 3D effect. In addition, the Sortz C3 does what the Sortz S3 does on an even higher level.
Listening to Sortz T3: Precision. The Ansuz Sortz T3 is the best model in the Sortz 3rd Generation. The Ansuz Sortz T3 retains and improves the positive qualities also found in the Sortz S3 and C3, but additionally, the music flows more easily and rhythmically with the Ansuz Sortz T3. The sound of the Sortz T3 is tighter and cleaner than the already excellent sound of the Sortz S3 and C3. Everything sounds more beautiful, more interesting, more engaging and more captivating. We know no other accessory that so specifically improves musicality and does so in such a simple way. Plug in and listen (enjoy).
Conclusion: The Ansuz Sortz 3rd Gen. is a sound improvement for any serious Hifi or High End audio system. You can purchase these Ansuz Sortz from us and if they don't do what you expect, you can return them and receive your purchase amount back. But be warned, once you have tried the Sortz 3rd Gen. in your system, there is no going back to your old sound.
