Audiophile is a term for someone who feels a strong drive to perfect the reproduction of recorded sound. Although not intended in most cases, this can go so far as to become an obsession.
An audiophile is a person who has a great passion for listening to music and audio in the highest quality. Audiophiles are often very critical about the sound quality of their audio equipment and are willing to invest in high-quality components such as speakers, amplifiers, and digital-to-analog converters (DACs). They are also interested in the technical aspects of sound, such as frequency response, distortion and sound dynamics. Audiophiles strive to create the most authentic and engaging listening experience, often by using specially designed equipment and sound sources, such as vinyl records or high-resolution digital files. Their love of music often goes hand in hand with a desire for the best sound reproduction, which distinguishes them from the average listener.
Mmm. Well. That's true and we can make sure it doesn't become an obsession. To do this, we look at it from a technical perspective and keep an eye on the price-quality ratio of a system remaining optimal. Of course, a € 55,000.00 expensive speaker cable in a system that otherwise costs € 10,000.00 sounds excellent, much better than the cable usually used, but we would not recommend that. There are many better ways to improve the quality of an audio installation.
Here are a number of steps that we believe is the way to build and optimize a system.
First of all the power supply. Install an Audiophile switch (pure power transmission, without obstruction and distortion) in your fuse box. Ensure a direct connection with a preferably shielded cable (no loss along the way and no interference from radiation or emissions) to your system and have it connected to an Audiophile outlet (strong copper with silver-plated terminals for a tight connection with the plug).
OK. The power coming into your home is now transported as purely as possible and with as little loss as possible to a location close to your system. Now it is unlikely that you use only 1 component, so there must be a distribution to multiple outlets. It is also important that the power is freed from all kinds of high-frequency and sometimes DC components (disturbances). These disturbances cause your equipment to react somewhat nervously. The music that then flows from your speakers will sound restless to a minor, or sometimes considerable, degree. Not only does the music sound restless, but it also makes you restless. So there must be a filter specifically tuned to your audio installation.
So choose a power strip, power filter or power conditioner for the distribution of power.
You now have a power filter / power strip ready for your equipment with 4, 6 or 12 connections for your system. This entire power situation is the foundation of your system, and absolutely important.

Component selection. We advise starting by choosing the speakers. The speaker is a very determining component for both looks and sound. Put 10 different speakers next to each other and they will all sound very different. This is different with the other components of your system. The differences in other components are also very important, but the differences are smaller than those with speakers.
You now have speakers that you like to look at and that meet your sound requirements. Now choose the amplifier for it. The amplifier ensures that the speaker does what it can do. An incorrect match means that the speakers do not sound as nice as they can.
Now choose the source. Nowadays that is usually a streamer and a DA converter. Plenty of choice.
The entire system must now be wired. Think first about the correct power cords for the devices. An amplifier requires a different power cord than, for example, a streamer. Then come the interlinks, the cables used between the components. here too, the most expensive is not the best, but the most optimal combination is the best.
You now have your system ready. Optimally wired. The power is stable, pure and the distortions are out. The speakers are in the right place, in the living room or music room. Usually the acoustics in the average room are fine because of the presence of sofas, chairs, bookshelves, plants and so on. If you suffer from reverberation, we advise you to have a specialized company measure the acoustics so they can give advice regarding the improvement of the acoustics.

Music is an invisible language. And that's right. It is a very complex but at the same time also simple language with enormous impact. You cannot explain music logically. Try to convince someone that they should love Jazz because it is so skillfully played. Or so creative. Or Classical. Or Pop. You have to feel something for it. If you don't feel it, then that's not your music. For us, music is one of the higher forms of art. Improvised live music most of all. A painter can easily take a look at his painting, adjust a bit, and repaint if necessary. A live musician cannot. He works live, in the here and now. Now it has to happen, and if you make a mistake, then that's what it is.
