General : The Ansuz Darkz Balls are designed to be placed in the designated recesses of the Ansuz Darkz isolators for an extra layer of isolation. The Ansuz Darkz Balls can also be used to stack equipment from Aavik Acoustics. Three Ansuz Balls are required per Ansuz Darkz.

Placement : The Ansuz Darkz isolators are resonance control feet that you can place anywhere underneath. For brands not under Audio Group Denmark, you can simply place the Ansuz Darkz under the baseplate. However, for equipment from Aavik Acoustics, Ansuz Acoustics, Axxess or speakers from Borresen Acoustics or Axxess, you can place the Ansuz Darkz under the feet of the equipment that were developed for this purpose. The feet under Audio Group Denmark equipment are round and have the same diameter as the Ansuz Darkz isolators; these feet have a hollow rim on the outside. The idea is that if you want to place Ansuz Darkz isolators under your Audio Group Denmark equipment or speaker, you do so in combination with Ansuz Darkz Balls (3 balls per Darkz isolator). You place the Ansuz Darkz Balls in the 3 recesses on top of the Ansuz Darkz isolator and then place the foot of your Audio Group Denmark equipment on top. Due to the hollow rim of the feet, they fit perfectly over the Ansuz Darkz Balls that rest on the Darkz isolators. This gives you multiple advantages: advantage number 1 is that you have an extra layer of isolation for better sound, advantage number 2 is that the equipment stands more stable and cannot slide off the isolator, advantage number 3 is that you can fine-tune the sound by choosing between Titanium or Tungsten balls.

Ansuz Titanium Balls : The Ansuz Titanium balls are small balls with a diameter of 6.35mm, made of solid Titanium. Titanium is a material widely used by Audio Group Denmark because of its musical qualities. Between the layers of the Darkz isolators, Titanium Balls are used, only in the most expensive Darkz Z2 Signature are Tungsten Balls used between the layers. However, in the Darkz C2T, S2T, T2 and T2 Supreme, Titanium Balls are used between the discs of the isolator. This also applies to the Axxess Noir isolators, where Titanium Balls are also used.

Ansuz Tungsten Balls : The Ansuz Tungsten balls have the same diameter as the Titanium Balls. However, the material of the Tungsten balls consists mainly of Tungsten, which has a 3-4 times higher density than Titanium. As a result, the Ansuz Tungsten balls are considerably heavier, which provides better mechanical grounding of the equipment you place on them. These Tungsten balls are used in the best isolators from Ansuz Acoustics: the Ansuz Darkz Z2 Signature. You can simply place the Ansuz Tungsten balls on an Ansuz Darkz isolator that uses Titanium balls between the discs; this does not cause mismatching. The Tungsten Balls always sound a step better than the Titanium balls, wherever you apply them.

Sound Differences : The Ansuz Titanium balls sound tight, clear and open. An Ansuz Darkz isolator with Titanium balls on top sounds lighter and better articulated than a Darkz isolator without balls. The Ansuz Tungsten balls retain the dynamics and articulation of the Titanium balls, but add more body, space and control in the midrange and bass response. The Tungsten balls have more harmony in the sound and also have a more pleasant sound over the long term due to the fuller sound they provide. With the Tungsten balls, you don't lose any sound quality; you only get more musicality compared to the Titanium balls.
