General : The Ansuz Darkz S3T is a decoupler that improves the resonance properties for all types of audio equipment and loudspeakers you place it under. The Ansuz Darkz S3T can be applied in any situation, they work under any type of equipment, amplifiers, D/A converters, streamers, turntables, power distributors/conditioners, routers, network switches and power supplies. Wherever you place the Ansuz Darkz S3T, the sound will noticeably improve. Audio Group Denmark equipment (from Ansuz, Aavik, Borresen or Axxess) has feet specially designed to be placed on Ansuz Darkz. For equipment from other brands, the Ansuz Darkz S3T can be placed loosely under the baseplate. There is also a spike dimple integrated into the Ansuz Darkz S3T for equipment and loudspeakers that stand on spikes; you can simply place the spike in the dimple to decouple it. For audio equipment with a 4mm, 6mm or 8mm screw thread on the underside, it is better to purchase the Ansuz Darkz Feet separately. Once you have installed the Ansuz Darkz Feet under your equipment or loudspeaker, you have the option to choose between Titanium or Tungsten (Wolfram) balls from Ansuz, which you can then place on the Ansuz Darkz S3T in the designated dimples on top. You need 3 balls per Darkz S3T. The Ansuz Darkz Feet then fit perfectly over these balls for perfect decoupling and improved sound. This also looks more aesthetically pleasing and prevents the equipment from sliding off the feet. Equipment from Audio Group Denmark (Ansuz Acoustics, Aavik Acoustics, Børresen Acoustics) comes with the Darkz Feet mounted as standard.

Technology : The Ansuz Darkz S3T Resonance Control consists of 3 discs/layers made of solid stainless steel, these discs are CNC machined and polished. Each material has its own sonic character; stainless steel is a heavy material with good resonance properties and outstanding sound. By using stainless steel instead of aluminum, the mechanical resonance controlling properties of the Darkz S3T are significantly better than those of the aluminum models from Ansuz Acoustics' previous generation Darkz. Between each layer are 3 balls made of solid titanium; each Ansuz Darkz S3T contains 6 titanium balls. All Ansuz Darkz models, including the S3T, are cryogenically treated for optimal crystal structure in the metals.

3rd Generation Darkz Improvements : There are currently two types of stainless steel Darkz: the Darkz S3T and the Darkz S3W. The Ansuz Darkz S3T is the most affordable Ansuz Darkz in the current lineup. The Darkz S3T features titanium bearing balls; the S3W features tungsten bearing balls. Furthermore, the Ansuz Darkz S3T has been improved on 2 points compared to its predecessor, the Darkz S2T. The Darkz S3T is now held together by a coupling piece made of solid stainless steel, whereas the S2T used aluminum (the Darkz S3W has a coupling piece made of solid titanium). This coupling piece, which holds the discs and balls together, also has an impact on the sound. The second point where the Ansuz Darkz S3T has been improved is price. Now that the aluminum Darkz C2T has been discontinued, Ansuz needed a new entry-level model. Instead of developing a cheaper foot, Ansuz Acoustics significantly reduced the price of the stainless steel S3T to serve as the new entry-level decoupler. This makes the Ansuz Darkz S3T a fantastic decoupler in terms of price/quality – one of the best on the market in its price range, if not the best.

Listening : The Ansuz Darkz S3T provides a very noticeable improvement to the sound image, no matter what type of equipment or loudspeaker you place them under. Ansuz Acoustics Darkz Balls : There are currently 2 types of Ansuz Darkz Balls available for those who want to place the Ansuz Darkz S3T under their equipment in combination with the Ansuz Darkz Feet. You can choose between Titanium Balls or Tungsten (Wolfram) Balls. The Tungsten Balls weigh 4 times the weight of the Titanium Balls, which significantly improves the resonance absorbing and controlling properties. The difference in sound is that the Tungsten Balls sound fuller, more pleasant and more spacious than the already excellent Titanium balls.
