General : The Ansuz Darkz Z3W is the optimal isolator for the finest high-end audio systems, improving the resonance properties for all types of audio equipment and speakers that you place it under. Of all Darkz models from Ansuz Acoustics, the Darkz Z3W is the model with the best performance. The Ansuz Darkz Z3W can be used in any situation, under any type of equipment they do their job, amplifiers, D/A converters, streamers, turntables, power distributors/conditioners, routers, network switches and power supplies. Wherever you place the Ansuz Darkz Z3W, the sound will be noticeably improved. Audio Group Denmark equipment (from Ansuz, Aavik, Borresen or Axxess) has feet that are specially designed to be placed on Ansuz Darkz. For equipment from other brands, the Ansuz Darkz Z3W can be placed loosely under the bottom plate. There is also a spike dimple integrated into the Ansuz Darkz Z3W for equipment and speakers that stand on spikes, you can simply place the spike in the dimple to isolate them. For audio equipment with 4mm, 6mm or 8mm screw threads on the bottom, it is better to purchase the Ansuz Darkz Feet separately. Once you have attached the Ansuz Darkz Feet under your equipment or speaker, you have the option to choose between Titanium or Tungsten balls from Ansuz, which you can then place on the Ansuz Darkz Z3W in the dedicated indentations on top. You need 3 balls per Darkz Z3W. The Ansuz Darkz Feet will then fit perfectly over these balls for perfect isolation and improved sound. This also looks better aesthetically and prevents the equipment from sliding off the feet in this way. Equipment from Audio Group Denmark (Ansuz Acoustics, Aavik Acoustics, Børresen Acoustics) comes standard with Darkz Feet mounted.

Technical : The Ansuz Darkz Z3W Resonance Control consists of 3 discs/layers made of solid zirconium, these zirconium discs undergo a very extensive and complex surface treatment using a High-power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering machine. Through this method of surface treatment, the zirconium discs develop over many hours a surface consisting of a highly refined mixture of zirconium and hafnium nitride. This surface treatment provides improved structure and better resonance properties. Each material has its own sonic character. Zirconium is an expensive and difficult to machine material with fantastic resonance properties and excellent sound. By using zirconium in combination with hafnium nitride, the mechanical resonance controlling properties of the Darkz Z3W are the best of all Darkz models, and in our view the best of all isolators currently available on the market. Between each layer are 3 balls made of solid Tungsten, there are 6 tungsten balls in each Ansuz Darkz Z3W. All models of the Ansuz Darkz, including the Z3W, are cryogenically treated for optimal crystal structure in the metals.

Improvements 3rd Generation Darkz : The Ansuz Darkz Z3W has been improved in several ways compared to its predecessor (the Darkz Z2 Signature). The material choice for the Darkz Z3W has been changed to zirconium in combination with hafnium nitride, the Z2S did not use hafnium nitride. The Z3W also received a completely different surface treatment method. Additionally, the coupling piece in the middle is now made of solid titanium, whereas previously this coupling piece was made of aluminum. Titanium has better resonance properties than aluminum, and the coupling piece that holds the discs and balls together also influences the sound and titanium.

Listening : The Ansuz Darkz Z3W provide a very noticeable improvement to the soundstage, regardless of what type of equipment or speaker you place them under. It is a remarkable experience, the soundstage is much more three-dimensional and clear. Everything that happens in the music intrigues and impresses more. The background is quieter and deeper, the music seems to come from nowhere. Also pleasant is that the music is much easier to follow, the sound is less hard and resonant, and the layers in the recording are much better separated from each other while the whole plays together in a coherent and harmonious way. Again, a truly remarkable experience. Also interesting is that after you have tried the Darkz Z3W and remove them from under your equipment or speakers, a kind of emptiness suddenly appears, there is suddenly a lack of involvement. Put the Ansuz Darkz Z3W back in place under your equipment or speakers, and suddenly the involvement and magic are there again. The Ansuz Darkz Z3W also ensures that listening fatigue occurs less quickly, the sound is better balanced and less restless. The Ansuz Darkz Z3W sounds the clearest, most detailed and most spatial of all Darkz models from Ansuz Acoustics due to the materials used.

Ansuz Acoustics Darkz Balls : There are currently 2 types of Ansuz Darkz Balls available for people who want to place Ansuz Darkz Z3W under their equipment in combination with the Ansuz Darkz Feet. You can choose between Titanium Balls or Tungsten (Wolfram) Balls. The Tungsten Balls weigh 4 times the weight of the Titanium Balls, which greatly improves the resonance absorbing and controlling properties. The difference in sound is that the Tungsten Balls sound fuller, more pleasant and more spatial than the already excellent Titanium balls. With the Darkz Z3W, the recommendation is always to go for the Tungsten balls.
