General : Axxess is the fourth and newest brand of Audio Group Denmark, developed to make the high-quality sound of Audio Group Denmark more accessible to a large number of people. The 3 other brands of Audio Group Denmark are: Aavik Acoustics, Ansuz Acoustics and Børresen Acoustics. All of these brands are designed by the same designers and manufactured in the same factory, which is why these 4 brands share Audio Group Denmark's distinctive yet highly effective techniques. The Axxess brand was launched in April 2023, and the first products made by this brand are the streaming amplifiers from the Forté series. The Forté series consists of 3 types: the Forté 1, the Forté 2 and the Forté 3.

Technology : The Axxess Forté 2 is made with the same vision as the rest of Audio Group Denmark's equipment, which means that the Axxess Forté 2 has extensive noise suppression on board, is ultra quiet, has very dynamic power delivery and has a sleek design. The Axxess Forté line consists of 3 streaming amplifiers, all with the same design and the same power. The difference between the Axxess Forté 1, 2 and 3 is in the types and quantity of Tesla Coils and Dither Circuitry for noise suppression, the Forté 3 also has a solid copper bottom plate instead of aluminum to reduce hysteresis in the enclosure. The Axxess Forté 2 uses 72 Active Tesla Coils, 144 Active Square Tesla Coils, 4 Active Zirconium Tesla Coils and 6 Dither Circuits. The nominal power is 100 Watts per channel, but more importantly is the way in which the Axxess Forté 2 delivers its power. The Axxess Forté 2 has very dynamic power, which means that the Axxess Forté 2 is extremely good at quickly and stably delivering peak voltages without distorting when the music signal requires it. This is due to the powerful and low noise 'resonant mode power supply' and the modern and musical UMAC™ amplifier technology of the Pascal amplifier module. Finally, the headphone output is driven by a very high-quality, fully Class A operating, headphone amplifier. Because it is a Class A headphone amplifier, it has a very linear power delivery, very high Gain and very low distortion.

The Axxess Forté streaming amplifiers stand on Ansuz Darkz feet which are designed to sit on top of the Darkz decouplers from Ansuz Acoustics, for people who want to get more musicality out of their Axxess Forté.

Streamer : The Axxess Forté 2 has an excellent and versatile streamer. This streamer can be controlled with the free Audio Group Denmark app, MConnect/MControl (iOS and Android) and BubbleUPnP (Android). One of the best options to use is JPlay (iOS only), however there are costs associated with the license to use JPlay. In addition, all 'Connects' are present, so Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect. For people with a server, the Axxess Forté 2 can be used as a RoonReady endpoint behind a Roon server, or as an endpoint for an Audirvana server. There are also 2 USB ports on the back of the Axxess Forté 2 which can be used for a Wifi Dongle for a wireless connection (we recommend a wired connection), but you can also connect a USB Stick or USB drive for direct playback of music from the connected USB storage.

As for connections, there is plenty available. The speaker connections are from WBT where both Spades, Banana plugs or bare wire can be connected. There is an analog RCA input for example for a CD player or Phono Preamplifier. An analog Pre Out for subwoofers. There are 3 digital inputs, USB-B for PCs or external streamers, SPDIF BNC for digital devices such as a CD transport and a Toslink Optical input for example for your TV or Blu Ray player. On the back you will also find 2 USB inputs for a USB Flash drive or a USB Wifi dongle. Finally, there is also a trigger output which can be used to switch on external amplifiers or subwoofers. The trigger output provides 12V DC up to 50mA.

Sound : The Axxess Forté 2 is a very special device in its price class. A complete audio set in 1 compact device with enough features and connections to serve virtually everyone. But does it sound good? To this we can only answer convincingly "Absolutely". The Axxess Forté 2 is a very musical amplifier, the sound is very natural and the entire recording is reproduced with great ease and the playback is very stable at every volume. The bass is powerful, tight and deep. The midtones are transparent, clear, refined and organic. The treble is rhythmic, fast and precise. Yet, thanks to the extensive noise suppression, you won't encounter a hint of harshness in the sound. Listening fatigue is also not an issue. The Axxess Forté 2 handles all music genres, the Axxess Forté 2 is dynamic and powerful enough to play hard-hitting trance, but also sensitive and atmospheric enough to play vocal jazz and classical music. It is very remarkable to hear how much musicality you can get out of one device.

Thanks to more effective noise suppression through the larger number of Tesla Coils plus the addition of the latest generation Active Zirconium Tesla Coils, the Axxess Forté 2 sounds better than its smaller brother, the Forté 1. Compared to the Axxess Forté 1, the Axxess Forté 2 has a more refined sound, a quieter background with more depth, and a more accurate reproduction. You hear more information and at the same time the sound is also more controlled, a nice combination. The Axxess Forté 2 is simply the sound of the Forté 1, but better and more musical.
