General: The Ansuz Acoustics Signalz X3 is the latest entry-level analogue interlink from Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The new Signalz X3 now belongs to the Steel Series by Ansuz Acoustics. The Ansuz Steel Series is called the Steel Series because the gold-plated connectors are housed in a stainless steel (CRES 316) enclosure. The predecessor of the Signalz X3, the Signalz X2, had connectors in an aluminium enclosure. And for Ansuz Acoustics that is a problem. Audio Group Denmark (under which Ansuz operates) is constantly researching different materials. Titanium, Copper, Stainless Steel and even Zirconium are frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid the material aluminium in its new products. Aluminium has a negative effect on sound, it produces an artificial tone through its resonance behaviour and it induces hysteresis. Rather than solving the problems caused by aluminium later, Audio Group Denmark chose to tackle the problem at the source and thus no longer use aluminium in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and are stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. In the case of the RCA version, the Ansuz Signalz X3 is a stiff solid-core cable with very good mechanical stability, in the case of the X3 XLR the cable consists of multiple twisted conductors and is somewhat more flexible. The conductors are effectively isolated in Teflon and then wrapped with a mesh of tinned copper. The Ansuz Signalz X3 is handmade at the Audio Group Denmark factory in Aalborg, Denmark.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Acoustics Signalz X3 has a natural and lively sound. The bass is tight and rhythmic and the dynamics are in excellent order. Yet the sound remains within comfortable boundaries, the sound is transparent as it should be but there is no unnecessary spectacle, just like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics. Everything you hear is pure music, we can talk about the body of the bass and the detail in the treble. But at Ansuz Acoustics we don't need to talk about that, instead we talk about the enormous musical qualities that the products from Ansuz Acoustics bring with them. The more affordable Ansuz Signalz X3 is absolutely no exception to this. The spatial imaging is large, airy and pleasant and you are immediately involved with the performers and the music. The time to listen to sounds is over, the time to listen to music has begun.
