General : The Hifi Rose RS130 is the latest creation from Korean manufacturer Hifi Rose. It is a digital streamer without built-in DAC packed with functionality and featuring a large 14.9 inch IPS touchscreen.

Technology : The first thing that stands out about the Hifi Rose RS130 is its stylish design and the large touchscreen display on the front. The IPS technology of this screen provides realistic color reproduction and a wide viewing angle, which means the display is clearly readable from many different angles. The display of the Hifi Rose RS130 provides a luxury appearance, and the build quality and operation of the Hifi Rose RS130 feels that way too. Anyone can operate the Hifi Rose RS130 on the go, that's what it's made for. The enclosure is made from a single solid block of aluminum which is then shaped in a CNC milling machine into a beautiful whole. The Hifi Rose RS130 can be equipped with an SSD drive to store music on, up to 4TB can be installed in a simple manner. The Hifi Rose RS130 can also retrieve music from external network locations such as a NAS or NUC and it is also possible to play music from an external USB storage location such as a Hard Drive or a USB stick. The Hifi Rose RS130 can handle virtually all formats such as PCM up to 32bit/768kHz, DXD, MP3, AAC, FLAC, ALAC and even DSD files up to DSD512. There is also a built-in MQA decoder so you can also play High Res MQA files from Tidal. The power supply used is an extremely high-quality, powerful and stable linear power supply with a large toroidal transformer. The PCBs are efficiently laid out and developed to prevent noise, which provides cleaner sound reproduction with more clarity and detail.

Features: The HiFi Rose RS130 comes with several commonly used applications pre-installed. These include: Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify Connect, RoseTube. The HiFi Rose RS130 is also Roon Ready and can therefore be placed behind a Roon Server as a player. The apps can be controlled directly via the touchscreen on the front, but of course also via the HiFi Rose app called 'Rose Connect' on your phone or tablet. This app is available for download on both Android and iOS devices, and there is also a Windows version for computers. You can also operate the HiFi Rose RS130 with the included remote control. The display is fully customizable; you can display multiple things on it. For example, you can fully dim the display, play YouTube videos on it, but you can also set the display to show VU-meters where you can choose the color yourself. This way, the display's appearance can be adapted to your personal preferences. Via the HDMI output, you can connect the HiFi Rose RS130 directly to a television, which makes concerts from YouTube truly come alive. You can output videos up to 4K resolution to the television, at 60 FPS no less. With its many digital outputs, the RS130 can be used in combination with virtually any high-end D/A converter. There are also clock inputs to connect an external clock. Internet radio and podcasts can also be played by the HiFi Rose RS130. HiFi Rose also makes a CD drive/ripper, the HiFi Rose RSA780, with which you can rip CDs to add them to the optional internal SSD, or you can play the CDs directly.
