Functionality: The Hifi Rose RS150b comes standard with several popular applications pre-installed. The following applications are available: Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Rose Tube (YouTube with music only). The Hifi Rose RS150b is also RoonReady and can therefore also be placed as a player behind a Roon Server. These apps can be directly controlled via the touchscreen on the front, but of course also via the HiFi Rose app called 'Rose Connect' on your phone or tablet. You can also operate the Hifi Rose RS150b with the supplied remote control. The display is fully adjustable, allowing you to have the display show multiple things. You can fully dim the display, you can play YouTube videos from it, but you can also set the display to show VU-meters of which you can choose the color yourself. This way the look of the display can be customized to your personal preferences. Via the HDMI-ARC connection you can connect the Hifi Rose RS150b directly to a television, this makes concerts from YouTube really come to life, you can output videos up to 4k resolution to the television at 60 FPS no less. Thanks to the many digital inputs and outputs, the RS150b can also be used as a standalone server/streamer or as a D/A Converter for example for a CD player or Blu-Ray player. Internet radio and podcasts can also be played by the Hifi Rose RS150b. Hifi Rose also makes a CD drive/ripper, the Hifi Rose RSA780, with which you can rip CDs to add them to the optional internal SSD, or you can play the CDs directly.

Sound: The Hifi Rose RS150b is a clean-sounding streamer with a sound that is rich in detail. The sound is clear, refined and with tight and solid bass reproduction. The sound is nicely balanced and is absolutely not inferior to other similarly priced streamers that don't even have a quarter of the connections and capabilities of the Hifi Rose RS150b.
