General: The Lector Diginet Streaming Transport is the latest creation from Lector Audio of Italy. It is the first streamer Lector Audio has ever made. Lector Audio is a manufacturer founded in 1982, with over 40 years of experience in creating exclusive and affordable high-end audio. In these 43 years, Lector Audio has produced very high-quality tubes and hybrid amplifiers, phono preamplifiers and CD players, and now Lector Audio is dipping their toe into the world of streamers with the completely new Diginet Streaming Transport, developed from the ground up.

Technology: The Lector Diginet is built according to a philosophy that Lector has adhered to for years. This is why the Diginet sounds like a true Lector. The power supply is generous and powerful linear power supply. Whisper quiet and always stable. A high precision word clock generator is used for a stable signal with accurate playback. The Lector Diginet features 4 different digital outputs, namely SPDIF Coax RCA, AES/EBU XLR, Toslink Optical and I²S over HDMI. The housing is aluminum, and you can optionally choose stylish side panels in either High-Gloss Black Acrylic or solid cherry wood for an additional €200.-

Streaming: The Lector Diginet is a streamer designed for simplicity. For direct connection, you can use Spotify Connect or Tidal Connect. The Lector Diginet can also be controlled via Apple Airplay and easily via Bluetooth aptX, perfect for parties or family members less familiar with streaming applications. Additionally, the Diginet can be used as a UPnP player and controlled with BubbleUPnP on Android devices, or MConnect Lite on iOS or Android devices. The Airlino app can also be used on iOS or Android. With all these mentioned applications, you can simply log in with your Tidal or Qobuz account and start playing. For those who also have music stored, the Lector Diginet can retrieve music over the internet by using MConnect or BubbleUPnP, or you can connect an external USB storage device to one of the 2 USB ports on the back of the Lector Diginet. Finally, you can also play from a server running Audirvana to the Lector Diginet, but this requires a server such as a NUC or Mac Mini.

Listening: The Lector Diginet is immediately recognizable as a Lector Audio device. It shares musical qualities found in Lector Audio's CD players and amplifiers. The sound is lively, enthusiastic yet glowing and powerful. In short, the Lector sound is simply musical and interesting and above all enjoyable to listen to. It is almost playful, so relaxed and pleasant in its presentation. The bass is particularly recognizable as we know it from Lector Audio equipment, deep, firm and very controlled. The background performs well with the foreground and the sound has body in a natural and pleasant way. The Lector Diginet delivers a combination of dynamics and warmth that you won't find anywhere else.
