General: The Atacama Evoque Eco 60-40 SE2 is a high-end hifi rack with stylish design and very solid and durable build quality. Suitable for audio and video equipment. The Atacama Evoque Eco 60-40 SE2 rack is beautifully finished with solid bamboo shelves, available in a light bamboo or dark bamboo finish. These shelves are supported by sturdy hollow steel tubes, available in black or white tubes. Because the tubes are hollow, you have the option to fill them to eliminate resonances. We sell Norstone Metal Beads or Atacama Atabites for this purpose, these are specially developed filling materials with excellent resonance properties for optimal musical performance. As a more affordable solution, you can of course simply fill the tubes with sand or gravel. Each module stands on 4 tubes which have sharp spikes on the bottom, and each shelf in turn has 4 dimples in the corners where the spikes of the shelf above can be placed. The end result is a solid and stable unit. Because it is an open rack on all sides, you can easily access the back of the rack for cable connections, and as an added benefit, everything ventilates well compared to a closed cabinet, allowing any heat from equipment to dissipate easily.
