Overview: The new Gigawatt PowerSync powercord is Gigawatt's latest entry-level powercord. Featuring conductors made of pure OFHC copper. Fully shielded with aluminum foil, PVC and braided fiberglass & nylon, and equipped with excellent connectors. This high-quality powercord is ideally suited for many hifi and video components, and Gigawatt Powerstrips and Powerconditioners also perform excellently with this cable.

Technology: A powercord consists of several essential components:

• The Conductor(s), thickness and type of material

• The Dielectric, which is the layer around the conductors

• The Connectors on both sides

• Outer Shielding Layer

Gigawatt uses only pure quality in their products. The difference between all Gigawatt cables lies in the choice of materials, the amount of conductive material, the damping properties and the shielding.

The Gigawatt PowerSync conductors consist of 3 x 2.0mm2 OFHC copper conductors. The conductors are multi-strand, consisting of 10 solid core wires with a diameter of 0.514mm. OFHC stands for Oxygen Free High Conductivity 99.997% copper, a very pure material that causes little to no distortion. The Gigawatt PowerSync powercord also features an uninsulated tinned wire for contact with the inner shielding foil layer along the entire length of the cable, which makes the entire shielding of the cable active and prevents external radiation from entering. Around the inner aluminum shielding layer are 2 more shielding layers, namely 1 layer of PVC, and around the PVC layer you will find the outer layer which consists of braided fiberglass & nylon. The very low impedance of the cable makes the Gigawatt PowerSync suitable for the better Hifi and High-End Audio and Video installations. The connection plugs are the excellent and solid Gigawatt G-010N and G-030N connectors, made of pure OFC copper and protected with a nickel coating layer.

Listening: The Gigawatt PowerSync is a cable that does everything right. Fine dynamics combined with a pure sound. The bass is tight and well-defined. The Gigawatt PowerSync sounds more refined and controlled than its predecessor (the LC-1 Evo), and while the PowerSync is thicker, it is also more flexible. The Gigawatt PowerSync is the ideal entry cable into the High-End Audio world, and the sound difference compared to standard cables supplied with equipment is significant.
