The Lector Audio CDP-603 is the new integrated CD player from Lector Audio. While digital technology typically receives most attention today, the Lector Audio CDP-603 also features exceptionally well-designed and thoughtfully executed mechanical aspects. The chassis is round and very sturdy. The transport is suspended on rubber dampers, and the new laser mechanism can correct interruptions up to 3mm without audible consequences. The servo itself is a 32-bit CPU that ensures flawless tracking of your CDs. The DA Converter is a 32-bit 192kHz, low jitter DAC powered by the built-in upsampler. This DA Converter delivers the converted signal directly to a pure Class A tube output stage. There are no transistors in the signal path. Only one custom-made polypropylene capacitor is present. The output tube itself is a carefully selected 12AT7/ECC-81 tube, one per channel. Multiple stabilized power supply circuits are present for the necessary components such as laser, spindle motor, digital electronics, and analog electronics. The Lector Audio CDP-603 features a large, clear, and readable display that is adjustable. The Lector Audio CDP-603 has a set of high-quality single-ended RCA outputs made of pure copper and gold-plated. Sonically, the Lector Audio CDP-603 is a true Lector.
