General : The Ansuz Darkz C3W is an isolator that improves the resonance properties for all types of audio equipment and speakers you place it under. The Ansuz Darkz C3W can be used in any situation, under any type of equipment they perform their function, amplifiers, D/A converters, streamers, turntables, power distributors/conditioners, routers, network switches and power supplies. Wherever you place the Ansuz Darkz C3W underneath, the sound will be noticeably improved. Audio Group Denmark equipment (from Ansuz, Aavik, Borresen or Axxess) has feet that are specially designed to be placed on Ansuz Darkz. For equipment from other brands, the Ansuz Darkz C3W can be placed loose under the base plate. The Ansuz Darkz C3W also features a spike dimple for equipment and speakers that stand on spikes, you can simply place the spike in the dimple to isolate it. For audio equipment with a 4mm, 6mm or 8mm threaded hole on the underside, it is better to purchase the Ansuz Darkz Feet separately, once you have mounted the Ansuz Darkz Feet under your equipment or speaker you have the option to choose between the Titanium or Tungsten balls from Ansuz which you can then place on the Ansuz Darkz C3W in the designated recesses on top, you need 3 balls per Darkz C3W. The Ansuz Darkz Feet then fit perfectly over these balls for perfect isolation and improved sound. This also looks more aesthetically pleasing and the equipment cannot slide off the feet this way. Equipment from Audio Group Denmark (Ansuz Acoustics, Aavik Acoustics, Børresen Acoustics) comes standard with Darkz Feet mounted.

Technical : The Ansuz Darkz C3W Resonance Control consists of 3 discs/layers which are made of solid copper, the copper discs undergo surface treatment using Glass Blasting for improved acoustic properties. Each material has its own sonic character, copper is a material with excellent resonance properties and outstanding sound. By using copper instead of stainless steel or aluminum, the mechanical resonance control properties of the Darkz C3W are considerably better than those of the models below the Darkz C3W. Between each layer are 3 balls made of solid Tungsten, there are 6 tungsten balls in each Ansuz Darkz C3W. All models of the Ansuz Darkz, including the C3W, undergo cryogenic treatment for optimal crystal structure in the metals.

Improvements 3rd Generation Darkz: The Ansuz Darkz C3W is actually a brand new introduction to the Darkz line. It is namely the first Darkz made from solid copper. What is an improvement compared to the previous generation Darkz is that the titanium balls between the discs have been replaced with tungsten balls. The tungsten balls have up to 4 times higher density compared to titanium, and this makes them more effective in converting kinetic energy into heat. Additionally, the coupling piece in the middle is now made of solid titanium, whereas previously this coupling piece was made of aluminum. Titanium has better resonance properties than aluminum, and the coupling piece that holds the discs and balls together also influences the sound.

Listening: The Ansuz Darkz C3W provides a very noticeable improvement to the sound image, regardless of what type of equipment or speakers you place them under. The sound image becomes clearer, tighter, more dynamic but also more calm and natural. Actually, the sound improves on every front. If you compare the Darkz C3W with the stainless steel S3W and S3T, it is clear that the Darkz C3W has better articulation and produces a more rhythmic and detailed sound. Copper has a very pleasant and natural sonic character. It is also interesting that after you have tried the Darkz C3W and remove them from under your equipment or speakers, a kind of emptiness suddenly appears, there is suddenly a lack of engagement. Put the Ansuz Darkz C3W back in place under your equipment or speakers, and suddenly the engagement and magic are back. The Ansuz Darkz C3W also ensures that listening fatigue occurs less quickly, the sound is better balanced and less restless.

Ansuz Acoustics Darkz Balls: There are currently 2 types of Ansuz Darkz Balls available for people who want to place the Ansuz Darkz C3W under their equipment in combination with the Ansuz Darkz Feet. You can choose between Titanium Balls or Tungsten Balls. The Tungsten Balls weigh 4 times the weight of the Titanium Balls, thereby greatly improving the resonance absorbing and controlling properties. The difference in sound is that the Tungsten Balls sound fuller, more pleasant and more spacious than the already excellent Titanium Balls.
