General : The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D2 Ethernet is the first model from the reference series ethernet network cables by Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The cable is excellently finished with high-quality gold-plated connectors in an aluminum housing, pure silver-plated conductors and effective shielding. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet is a beautiful, thick and rigid cable. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet uses unconventional techniques to keep the noise floor as low as possible and thereby deliver a clean signal to the receiver. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet has even more of these noise-suppressing techniques on board than the two models below it, the X2 and the A2. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 is therefore clearly better than the A2 and the X2. The Ansuz D2 sets new standards in the field of musicality of ethernet cables. The (sound) quality is of an exceptional level, and often better than its equally priced competition.

Technology : The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet uses Ansuz Acoustics' unique Tesla Coil technology. The principle of this Tesla Coil technology is simple : a Tesla Coil consists of 1 coil and 1 counter coil. When a noise spike passes through the coil, the counter coil creates a counter spike out of phase, this cancels out the initial noise spike and thus reduces noise. You have active and passive Tesla Coils in different types and sizes, one type is more efficient than the other but the result remains the same, the more of these Tesla Coils are used, the less noise ends up in your signal path and the more beautiful, quieter and more detailed the playback of the recordings you listen to becomes. The X2 and A2 ethernet cables by Ansuz also use Tesla Coil technology, but to a lesser extent than the D2. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet has 2 Passive End Coils, these are passive Tesla Coils which are attached to the conductors at the ends of the cable, thereby reducing noise immediately on both sides. While the X2 uses 1 Passive End Coil, the A2 and the D2 use 2 Passive End Coils. What the Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet additionally has that the X2 does not, is a Passive Cable Tesla Coil, this Tesla Coil is located in the middle of the cable and is a visible knob on the cable, this to eliminate a greater amount of noise. Furthermore, the Ansuz Digitalz A2 Ethernet and D2 Ethernet also have conductors which consist of 2 times more surface area than the X2 for better signal transmission. But what the Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet really distinguishes itself with, is the use of Active Cable Tesla Coils, these Tesla Coils are integrated in the oval block which is attached to the cable. The Active Cable Tesla Coils work under voltage, this makes them up to 4 times more effective in eliminating noise than the Passive Cable Tesla Coils. To use the Active Cable Tesla Coils technology, you will need to connect the oval block on the D2 Ethernet cable with the included Jack cable to an Ansuz PowerSwitch or PowerBox. These power the Active Cable Tesla Coils and ensure they are powered up, this allows the Active Cable Tesla Coils to do their work, and the noise is very effectively eliminated, resulting in a very pronounced music playback with a quieter background and more details.

Sound characteristics : The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D2 Ethernet has an enormously natural and organic sound, just like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics. The sound of the Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D2 Ethernet shares many characteristics that you also find in the higher series of Ansuz Acoustics. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet is clearly a step up compared to the A2 and the X2, the sound is more musical, more refined and you easily hear what is happening in the recording. Everything you hear is pure music, we could talk about the body of the bass and the detailing in the treble. But with Ansuz Acoustics we don't need to talk about that, instead we talk about the enormous musical qualities that the products of Ansuz Acoustics bring with them.
