General : The M-Way 2DW Ethernet Cable is a high-quality yet affordable ethernet cable from Dutch origin. The M-Way cables are made in-house by Wim Rodenburg of Audiomaat. M-Way cables are made in a distinctive way, and that's always good because then you know you're getting something unique.

Standard ethernet cables are constructed from 4 pairs of 2 wires, so 8 conductors in total. But with 2 pairs of wires (4 total) a connection can already be established. This saves 4 conductors which can pick up and transmit noise to your streamer. Less pollution always benefits sound quality, so by using fewer conductors the M-Way 2DW ethernet cables have less room where noise can settle.

The M-Way 2DW ethernet cable features natural shielding, so no enormous layers of PVC or other materials around the conductors, only what's essential. The conductors are made of pure copper and the connectors and finishing are extremely high-quality for a cable in this price range.

Note, this is a CAT5 ethernet cable which can make connections up to 100Mb/s, which is sufficient for streaming audio, including High Res and DSD. You often also see audiophile switches that have 100Mb/s outputs because certain manufacturers think it sounds better than a Gigabit connection. But for those who prefer to establish a Gigabit connection anyway, we recommend the Axxess Ethernetcable CAT8.

This M-Way 2DW Ethernet Cable comes from the first owner and was first purchased in October 2024 and has been used little since. The original purchase invoice is included.
