Engineering: The Sonus Faber Lumina II Amator is finished to the highest standards of Sonus Faber. Only natural materials are used for the cabinet and drivers. The cabinet itself is a small, square design finished on all sides with environmentally-friendly vegan leather. The front is available in several stunning high gloss finishes that you'll also find on Sonus Faber's magnificent and premium Homage series. This further distinguishes the Lumina II Amator from the standard Lumina II, which is available in more basic veneers. For the Lumina II Amator, you can choose from High Gloss Sonus Faber Red, High Gloss Walnut, and High Gloss Wenge. The overall appearance is luxurious and sleek, truly an eye-catcher. The tweeter and woofer are also made from natural materials; the 6-inch woofer is a paper composite, and in this Amator version, the woofer crossover frequency is 2,600 Hz, allowing the woofer to extend significantly higher than in the standard Lumina II. The tweeter is an iconic D.A.D. (Damped Apex Dome) 29mm Kurtmüller silk dome tweeter, also used in Sonus Faber's higher Sonetto G2 series.
