Technical: The Nime Elite Two follows the unique elongated cabinet design with integrated stand from Nime Audio Design, which you also find in the Mya, the Elite One and the Elite One S. Yet the Nime Elite Two is somewhat different from the other Nime Audio Design models. The Nime Elite Two is the only Nime Audio Design model that uses a closed cabinet. Because of this, the Nime Elite Two behaves quite differently from the other Nime Audio Design models. A closed cabinet has the advantage that you can place the speakers closer to the rear wall without suffering from resonances from a bass reflex port. However, you do need a high-quality and stable amplifier to exploit the full potential of the Nime Elite Two, especially at higher volumes and more demanding music such as large orchestral work or electronic music. All units used come from German Accuton, a brand that makes drivers for a wide range of high-end brands including, for example, Marten Design, Gauder Akustik, Tidal Audio and Estelon, to name but a few. The cabinet of the Nime Elite Two is made of 20mm thick composite material with high density and excellent damping properties. On the inside, the cabinet is fitted with thick steel reinforcements which increase the rigidity of the cabinet and reduce internal resonances. All components used are selected with a focus purely on quality. The crossovers feature very high-quality Mundorf Mcap Supreme capacitors and Mundorf OFC Copper Foil Inductors, the internal wiring is from Transparent Cable from America, and the speaker connectors are from WBT. The combination of beautiful design, thoughtful engineering and exceptionally high-quality components delivers stunning and well-balanced sound reproduction.

Listening: The Nime Elite Two sounds fantastic. The Nime Elite Two is a speaker that articulates extremely well and delivers a tight and transparent soundstage. Because the Nime Elite Two uses a closed cabinet, it sounds tighter and faster in the bass than most bass reflex systems. The bass has somewhat less 'oomph' than the models with bass reflex port, but the bass is better defined and more rhythmic. Yet the bass reaches nicely deep, and once connected to a high-quality amplifier you'll find a nice amount of body. What also stands out when listening to the Nime Elite Two is how effortless everything sounds. The sound comes cleanly from the speakers and you are treated to a spatial, transparent and open sound. The midrange and treble reproduction is very precise and sparkling without sounding harsh or shrill. The Nime Elite Two is a speaker like no other and sets new standards in design and sound reproduction.
