General : The Melody DPM80 is a very solidly built integrated tube amplifier from the Australian brand Melody. The Melody DPM80 is Melody's most powerful integrated amplifier. It effortlessly drives even difficult speakers due to its ample power output and high-quality construction.

Technical Details : The Melody DPM80 features a sturdy 2 x 75 Watts. This wattage is achieved with 2 Melody KT150 tubes per channel (4 total). The bias adjustment can be easily done manually on top of the amplifier in conjunction with the illuminated Ammeters on the front panel. Pre-amplification is provided by 4 x British XF184 tubes and there is also a single Western Electric WE407A dual-triode tube present. Inside you'll find high-quality components such as Mundorf capacitors, and the amplifier features point-to-point wiring. Melody amplifiers are therefore extremely durable. The Melody DPM80 is very solidly built and features a sleek, minimalist design. The chassis is solid aluminum with beautiful wooden side panels, weighing as much as 40kg. On the front are 2 illuminated small Ammeters for bias adjustment and 2 large knobs for volume control and input selection. The Melody DPM80 matches excellently with speakers having average to high efficiency. You are therefore not dependent on very high efficiency speakers to enjoy this beautiful tube sound.
