General: The Ansuz Acoustics Signalz D3 is the latest analog interlink from the D-series of Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The Ansuz Signalz D3 replaces the Signalz D2. The new Signalz D3 is the top model analog interlink from the Copper Series of Ansuz Acoustics. The Copper Series of Ansuz is called the Copper Series because the housing of the gold-plated connectors and cable splitter blocks are made of solid copper. The predecessor of the Signalz D3, the Signalz D2, had connectors in an aluminum housing. And for Ansuz Acoustics, that is a problem. Audio Group Denmark (which Ansuz belongs to) is constantly investigating different materials. So Titanium, Copper, Stainless Steel and even Zirconium are frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid aluminum in its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on sound, it gives an artificial tone due to resonance behavior and it induces hysteresis. Instead of solving the problems caused by aluminum later, Audio Group Denmark chose to tackle the problem at the source and thus no longer use aluminum in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and are stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. The Ansuz Signalz D3 is a very stiff twisted cable which ensures less noise in the conductors and improved mechanical stability, yet the cable is easy to handle. With the Ansuz Signalz D3, in addition to the solidcore main conductors, Double Inverted Helix Coils (DIHC) are used. The Ansuz Signalz D3 has a larger amount of DIHC compared to the Signalz A3 and X-TC3, so even less noise enters the signal and less inductance is generated. Furthermore, in the Ansuz Signalz D3 compared to the Ansuz Signalz A3, Ansuz Anti Aerial Resonance Coils (AARC) are also applied. This technique is designed to prevent noise from leaking into the conductors. All conductors function as a kind of antenna that picks up signals from the air. That is why you can use a simple copper wire for a radio to listen to radio. What you don't want is for this interference to enter your music signal, ethernet signal or power signal in your equipment. The AARC functions as a kind of lightning rod for noise. External interference enters the AARC before it reaches the conductors, and because the AARC consists of 2 coils with 1 wound in the opposite direction, the captured noise is eliminated. Because the Ansuz Signalz D3 also has the AARC technique, less noise enters your equipment than with the Ansuz Signalz A3, X-TC3 and X3. The conductors are effectively insulated in Teflon, which is then surrounded by a mesh of tinned copper. In the case of the Signalz D3, even double insulation is applied, whereas the Signalz A3, X-TC3 and X3 have single insulation. The Ansuz Signalz D3 is handmade in the Audio Group Denmark factory in Aalborg, Denmark.

Reference Techniques: The Ansuz Signalz D3 also features Active Cable Tesla Coils, the active Tesla Coils are 3-4 times more effective than the passive Tesla Coils of Ansuz Acoustics. However, the active Tesla Coils need to be powered before they do their work. For this purpose, the Ansuz Signalz D3 has a block with a 3.5mm Jack input. By means of the included Jack cable, you can connect the Signalz D3 to an Ansuz PowerSwitch or Ansuz PowerBox. This is not mandatory for the Signalz D3, but highly recommended if you want to use the cable optimally. Furthermore, using the Ansuz TC Linkz upgrade cables, even more can be extracted from the Signalz D3 compared to the standard included Jack cables. The Ansuz Signalz D3 is already better than the Signalz C3 even without the active Tesla Coils powered, but once connected to an Ansuz PowerSwitch or Ansuz PowerBox, the Signalz D3 takes a huge step further in terms of musicality, detail and spatial staging.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Acoustics Signalz D3 has a natural, powerful and spacious sound. The bass is deep, tight and rhythmic and the dynamics are well in order. Compared to the Signalz C3, the Signalz D3 has more space, more depth and more detail. The sound is even more interesting and refined. Especially when you also connect the Signalz D3 with an Ansuz PowerSwitch or PowerBox, after you do this the music bubble you are in becomes much more 3D. The music embraces you more and the spatial imaging is even more quiet and well-defined. The Ansuz Signalz D3 is yet another clear step better than the already excellent Signalz C3. More happens in the sound picture and you hear more layers in the recording. The sound is transparent as it should be but it is not unnecessary spectacle, you recognize this in the Ansuz character which actually all Ansuz cables possess. Everything you hear is pure music, we could talk about certain details and accents. But with Ansuz Acoustics we don't need to talk about that, instead we talk about the enormous musical qualities that Ansuz Acoustics products bring with them. The Ansuz Signalz D3 is absolutely no exception to this. The spatial imaging is large, airy and pleasant and you are immediately involved with the performers and the music. The time to listen to sounds is over, the time to listen to music has begun.
