Technical: The first thing that stands out is the stylish design and the large touchscreen display on the front. The IPS technology of this screen provides realistic color reproduction and a wide viewing angle, which means the display is easily readable from many different angles. Right next to the screen is a rotary knob for volume control. The display of the HiFi Rose RS250A gives a luxurious appearance, and the build quality and operation of the HiFi Rose RS250A feel the same way. Anyone can use the HiFi Rose on the go, and yet the software has a luxurious look. The HiFi Rose RS250A is versatile, so it can be used as a Music Server, Music & Video (up to 4K) Streamer, DAC and Preamp. The HiFi Rose RS250A can be equipped with an SSD drive to store music, and up to 4TB can be installed in a simple way. The HiFi Rose RS250A can also retrieve music from external network locations such as a NAS or NUC, and it is also possible to play music from an external USB storage location such as a Hard Drive or USB stick. The DAC used in the HiFi Rose RS250A is a high-quality DAC that uses ES9038PRO (ESS) DAC chips. The excellent DAC can convert all signals such as PCM up to 32bit/768kHz, DXD, MP3, AAC, FLAC, ALAC and even DSD files up to DSD512. It also has a built-in MQA decoder so you can also play High Res MQA files from Tidal. The power supply used is an extremely high-quality, powerful and stable linear power supply with a large ring core transformer. There is also a volume control built into the HiFi Rose RS250A, which allows you to connect the RS250A directly to power amplifiers or active speakers.

Functionality: The HiFi Rose RS250A comes with several popular applications pre-installed by default. The following applications are available: Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Rose Tube (YouTube with music only). The HiFi Rose RS250A is also Roon Ready and can therefore be placed behind a Roon Server as a player. These apps can be controlled directly via the touchscreen on the front, but of course also via the HiFi Rose app called 'Rose Connect' on your phone or tablet. You can also operate the HiFi Rose RS250A with the included remote control. The display is fully customizable, allowing you to display multiple things. You can fully dim the display, you can play YouTube videos from it, but you can also set the display to show VU-meters where you can choose the color yourself. This way, the appearance of the display can be adapted to your personal preferences. Via the HDMI-ARC connection, you can connect the HiFi Rose RS250A directly to a television, which brings concerts from YouTube to life, you can output videos at up to 4K resolution to the television at 60 FPS no less. With its many digital inputs and outputs, the RS250A can also be used as a standalone server/streamer or as a D/A Converter for, for example, a CD player or Blu Ray player. Internet radio and podcasts can also be played by the HiFi Rose RS250A. HiFi Rose also makes a CD drive/ripper, the HiFi Rose RSA780, where you can rip CDs to add them to the optional internal SSD, or you can play the CDs directly.
