General : Marten Design is a major player in the exclusive high-end audio market. For years, this fine brand has been competing at the highest level. The Parker series consists of a standmount (Duo) and this floorstanding speaker, the Trio, and above that sits a larger floorstanding speaker called the Quintet. The Parker series from Marten Design is the step above the entry-level Oscar series.

Technology : The Marten Parker Trio is a modern speaker with great capability. The drivers and tweeter used are ceramic units specially designed by founder and chief designer Leif Olofsson. These ceramic drivers are powered by a powerful neodymium magnet system. The two 7.5 inch bass/midrange woofers are supported by two passive radiators on the back of each speaker. This ensures solid, but round and very deep bass reproduction. The pure internal wiring comes from Jorma and is therefore of very high quality, very important. The cabinet is a very solid and resonance-free design made of a multi-layer material that Marten Design calls 'M-Board'. This cabinet rests on Marten Isolators, large decoupling feet developed together with IsoAcoustics, you could see the Marten Isolators as a more luxurious version of the IsoAcoustics Gaia feet. As a result, the speakers stand like a house and resonances are no longer an issue, and you can also place the Marten Parker Trio on a parquet floor without damaging it.

Listening : The Marten Parker Trio has a nice balance between precision and musicality. The sound reproduction is clean and honest, details are effortlessly presented and the speakers completely disappear into the soundstage. The bass is nicely tight and round without resonances. You can place the Marten Parker Trio in many types of rooms, but it is recommended not to put them in a very small space because although the Parker Trio doesn't flinch when reproducing solid bass, the room can of course resonate along with it. Give the Marten Parker Trio a bit of space, and you get a magnificent 3D soundstage where the performers are enthusiastically present. Another nice feature of the Marten Parker Trio is that they can handle many types of music genres well, whether electronic, acoustic, classical, blues or jazz, the Marten Parker Trio actually always presents it in a high-quality, interesting and musical way.

This set of Marten Parker Trio is only a few months old, so the set is naturally in absolutely like-new condition and comes in the original packaging. There is also considerable remaining factory warranty.
