General: The Amati Supreme is a special flagship version of the Amati loudspeakers from the Italian brand Sonus Faber. This set of loudspeakers is packed with reference technologies and materials that can also be found in the flagship Suprema model. This is a demo set that comes from the official Dutch importer. This set was played at the Dutch Audio Event in 2025 and has since been on display at the office of Fine Sounds Benelux in Geldermalsen. We are now offering the set at an attractive demo price.

Technology: The Sonus Faber Amati Supreme is a 4.5-way floor-standing loudspeaker. The super tweeter, tweeter and midrange driver are exactly the same as those used in the flagship Sonus Faber model, the Suprema, which costs € 550.000,- per pair. These are the best and most coherent drivers Sonus Faber has ever used in a loudspeaker. The midrange driver is a new design called the 'Camelia midrange', which also features a phase plug and a powerful neodymium magnet drive. The Sonus Faber Amati Supreme has two 220mm woofers per loudspeaker that handle the low frequencies.

A material you encounter in modern Sonus Faber loudspeakers, including the Amati Supreme of course, is cork. The super tweeter, tweeter and midrange driver each have their own compartment in the cabinet, acoustically damped with cork. The cork is shaped in a special form that was realized through computer simulations. The use of this specially shaped cork in this compartment plays an essential role in the behavior and sound of the mid/high drivers. Everything about the Sonus Faber Amati Supreme is thoughtfully designed and made with a purpose in mind. That purpose is coherence, musicality and elegance.

Placement: Despite their large size, the Sonus Faber Amati Supreme suits many rooms and listening situations. This is partly due to the clever cabinet design and the Stealth Ultraflex bass ports, which, through improved dispersion of air pressure, do not rumble, so the loudspeakers can also be placed closer to a rear wall. Mainly, however, the Sonus Faber Amati Supreme is versatile thanks to the adjustable mid-bass and mid-high through the included bridges, which can be placed at the rear of the speaker. The following setup options are available:

- Both bridges fitted: For when the loudspeakers are placed in a large room, or an acoustically optimized room, and stand far from the rear wall.

- Only the Mid-High bridge fitted: For when the loudspeakers are placed in a large room, or an acoustically optimized room, and stand close to the rear wall.

- Only the Mid-Bass bridge fitted: For when the loudspeakers are placed in a small room, or a room that is not acoustically optimized, and stand far from the rear wall.

- No bass ports fitted: For when the speakers are placed in a small room, or in a room that is not acoustically optimised, and are standing close to the rear wall.

Thanks to this ingenious system, everyone can enjoy the Sonus Faber Amati Supreme, regardless of the room in which they are placed.

Listening : The Sonus Faber Amati Supreme is one of the most remarkable Sonus Faber speakers we have heard so far. What is beautiful about the Amati Supreme is its delicate detail and liveliness. The individual distinction and nuance that reveal everything happening in the recording make listening to the Sonus Faber Amati Supreme a fascinating and absorbing experience. This is typically a speaker that makes you discover new things in recordings you have already heard so many times. But what is special is that the Sonus Faber Amati Supreme does this in a very natural and effortless way. This makes it a true high end reference speaker. A very complete, extremely musical and remarkable reproduction that you can listen to for hours without any listening fatigue, regardless of the room in which it stands.

This is a demo set coming from the official Dutch importer. The speakers were sent to Sonus Faber in Italy for inspection and renewal of the packaging. This Sonus Faber Amati Supreme set is finished in the handsome Terra Rossa finish and is in new condition.
