General: The Ansuz Darkz S3T is a decoupler that improves the resonance properties for all types of audio equipment and speakers you place it under. The Ansuz Darkz S3T can be used in any situation, under any type of equipment they do their job, amplifiers, D/A converters, streamers, turntables, power distributors/conditioners, routers, network switches and power supplies. Wherever you place the Ansuz Darkz S3T, the sound will be noticeably improved. Audio Group Denmark equipment (from Ansuz, Aavik, Borresen or Axxess) has feet that are specially designed to be placed on Ansuz Darkz. For equipment from other brands, the Ansuz Darkz S3T can be placed loosely under the base plate. There is also a spike dimple integrated into the Ansuz Darkz S3T for equipment and speakers that stand on spikes, you can simply place the spike in the dimple to decouple them. For audio equipment with a 4mm, 6mm or 8mm threaded socket on the underside, it is better to purchase the Ansuz Darkz Feet separately, once you have attached the Ansuz Darkz Feet under your equipment or speaker, you have the option to choose between Ansuz's Titanium or Tungsten balls, which you can then place on the Ansuz Darkz S3T in the designated indentations on top, you need 3 balls per Darkz S3T. The Ansuz Darkz Feet then fit perfectly over these balls for perfect decoupling and improved sound. This also looks better aesthetically and the equipment can no longer slide off the feet. Audio Group Denmark equipment (Ansuz Acoustics, Aavik Acoustics, Børresen Acoustics) comes with the Darkz Feet mounted as standard.

Technical: The Ansuz Darkz S3T Resonance Control consists of 3 discs/layers made of solid stainless steel, these discs are CNC machined and polished. Each material has its own sound character, stainless steel is a heavy material with good resonance properties and excellent sound. By using stainless steel instead of aluminium, the mechanical resonance controlling properties of the Darkz S3T are significantly better than those of the aluminium models of the previous generation Darkz from Ansuz Acoustics. Between each layer are 3 balls made of solid titanium, there are 6 titanium balls in each Ansuz Darkz S3T. All models of the Ansuz Darkz, including the S3T, are cryogenically treated for optimal crystal structure in the metals.

Improvements 3rd Generation Darkz: There are currently two types of stainless steel Darkz, the Darkz S3T and the Darkz S3W. The Ansuz Darkz S3T is the most affordable Ansuz Darkz in the current range. The Darkz S3T has titanium interlayers, the S3W has tungsten interlayers. Furthermore, the Ansuz Darkz S3T has been improved in 2 aspects compared to its predecessor, the Darkz S2T. The Darkz S3T is now held together by a coupling piece made of solid stainless steel, while in the S2T this was aluminum (the Darkz S3W has a coupling piece of solid titanium). This coupling piece, which holds the discs and balls together, also influences the sound. The second aspect in which the Ansuz Darkz S3T has been improved is the price. Now that the aluminum Darkz C2T has been discontinued, Ansuz needed a new entry-level model. Instead of developing a cheaper footer, Ansuz Acoustics has significantly reduced the price of the stainless steel S3T to serve as the new entry-level decoupler. This makes the Ansuz Darkz S3T an excellent decoupler in terms of price and quality, one of the best on the market in its price range, if not the best.

Listening: The Ansuz Darkz S3T provides a very noticeable improvement to the sound image, regardless of what type of equipment or speaker you place them under. The sound image becomes clearer, fuller, more refined and more natural. In fact, the sound improves on every front. It's also interesting that after you've tried the Darkz S3T and remove them from under your equipment or speakers, a kind of emptiness suddenly appears, there's suddenly a lack of involvement. Put the Ansuz Darkz S3T back in place under your equipment or speakers, and suddenly the involvement and magic are back. The Ansuz Darkz S3T also ensures that listener fatigue is less likely to occur, the sound is better balanced and less restless. You can choose between Titanium Balls or Tungsten Balls. The Tungsten Balls weigh 4 times the weight of the Titanium Balls, which greatly improves the resonance absorbing and controlling properties. The difference in sound is that the Tungsten Balls sound fuller, more pleasant and more spacious than the already excellent Titanium balls.
