General: The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V is the new flagship speaker from the Nova range, positioned above the former Olympica III and potentially a competitor to the Serafino.

Technical Details: The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V is an entirely newly developed speaker with 3 woofers. The Nova V is even slightly larger than the Serafino from the Homage range. The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V is now made from solid wood panels which are shaped in a mold. The distinctive asymmetrical cabinet is complex and is bent into the correct shape in one go. The Stealth Bass Reflex port is remarkable and delivers full and pure bass without booming. The drivers themselves are also new. The 3 larger woofers feature a light cellulose cone, set in high-tech foam. A sandwich cone design. The tweeter is a silk dome with an apex point to suppress resonances. The midrange driver is also made of slow-dried paper and features a copper-coated aluminum coil. The components in the crossover filter are likewise of very high quality. Thanks to the somewhat larger bass units, the Sonus Faber Nova V has an excellent efficiency of 90dB/1w/1m. All drivers are secured in the genuine leather-clad front. Beneath the cabinet are stainless steel rods with excellent spikes. The new Sonus Faber Nova series is a remarkable product. Luxurious and handmade in Italy.
