Technical : The Nime Elite One S 2022 is the latest and finest loudspeaker from Nime Audio Design from Italy. The Elite One S is entirely built from solid 10mm stainless steel, both the cabinet and the stand. Stainless steel is a very heavy and resonance-damping material, but also extremely difficult and very expensive to machine. The version we have here is the latest version with the black diamond coating woofer/midrange and the black pure diamond tweeter. The Nime Elite One S follows the unique elongated deep cabinet design with integrated stand from Nime Audio Design which you also find in the Mya, the Elite Two and the Elite One. The Nime Elite One S is the top version of Nime. The outstanding WBT loudspeaker connections of the Nime Elite One are located on top of the underside of the stand and are therefore excellent for both spades and banana plugs. The crossovers are also integrated into the stands, which means the crossovers have no negative impact on the tweeter and the woofer and vice versa. The Crossovers are built with the most exclusive and expensive materials available, including from Mundorf. The Nime Elite One S has a bass port on the rear of the loudspeaker, but the Nime Elite One S can still be placed quite close to the rear wall. However, you will need a high-quality and stable amplifier to fully utilize the potential of the Nime Elite One S, especially at higher volumes and heavier music such as large orchestral works or electronic music. But for the average listener, a nice tube amplifier would be sufficient due to the favorable impedance behavior of the Nime Elite One S. All units used come from the German Accuton, a brand that makes drivers for a wide range of high-end manufacturers including, for example, Marten Design, Gauder Akustik, Tidal Audio and Estelon, to name just a few. These units of the Elite One S version are from the latest versions. The cabinet of the Nime Elite One S is made from 10mm stainless steel, which is very exceptional. On the inside, the cabinet is equipped with thick steel reinforcements which increase the rigidity of the cabinet and reduce internal resonances. The Nime Elite One S 2022 is made with only the best components and materials, no corners have been cut, and you hear that immediately in the sound reproduction.

Listening : The Nime Elite One S requires a considerable break-in period. But once broken in, it is unbelievable what kind of grand and powerful sound emerges from these, yet relatively compact, loudspeakers. The Nime Elite One S is a loudspeaker that articulates extremely well and presents a tight and truly supertransparent soundstage. The treble reproduction is without question of absolute top quality and blends seamlessly with the very fast woofer/midrange unit, making the speaker sound as one whole. Because the cabinet of the Nime Elite One S is extremely rigid and has a unique shape, internal resonances are very well eliminated, which provides a very clean and tight reproduction without any muddiness. The bass certainly has less 'oomph' than the larger Nime Poetica 3-way monitor, but the bass is much faster, better defined and more rhythmic. Yet the bass does not lack depth either, because once connected to a high-quality amplifier, there is a considerable amount of body in it. What also stands out when listening to the Nime Elite One S is how effortlessly everything sounds. The sound comes completely free from the loudspeakers and you are treated to a spacious, transparent and open sound. The midrange and treble reproduction is ultra precise and super sparkling without sounding harsh or shrill, and the spatial imaging is sublime. You could say that the Nime Elite One S even sounds relaxed, and we don't often hear that from designs with these extremely expensive loudspeaker units. The Nime Elite One S 2022 is a unique loudspeaker, as far as we know the only full stainless steel loudspeaker on the market, and it sets new standards in terms of design and sound reproduction.
