General: High End 2-Way floor-standing speakers from ProAc in the United Kingdom, version with Ribbon Tweeters.

Technical: The ProAc Response D30RS is a beautiful and compact floor-standing speaker. The woofer/midrange is a ProAc driver with carbon fiber membrane and a phase plug. The ProAc Response D30S comes in two versions, the version with a dome tweeter and the version with a ribbon tweeter. This is the version with the excellent and transparently sounding ribbon tweeter. This is the later version of the D30, called the D30S, and because they have ribbon tweeters it is therefore the D30RS where the 'R' stands for Ribbon. The later S-versions of the D30 thus have the newer midrange/woofer with phase plug and an improved crossover. The connections are high-quality Rhodium plated connectors and they are Biwire connections enabling bi-amping. The original jumpers are supplied. The ProAc Response D30RS has a bass reflex port on the underside, which is tuned very deep. You can therefore place the ProAc Response D30RS relatively close to the wall. A 2-Way speaker often has advantages in terms of sound quality because the filter technology is simpler, this results in fewer components in the signal path and an easier task for amplifiers. The look of this ProAc D30RS set is classic, square and stylish, executed in a beautiful Mahogany wood veneer finish.

Listening: Properly positioned and connected to a musical amplifier, it is immediately apparent how friendly and generous the ProAc Response D30RS sounds. The bass goes very deep and is tuneful, the midrange is beautifully and quietly tuned and the high frequency reproduction is, thanks to the excellent ribbon tweeter, unsurpassed in precision and quiet at the same time. The efficiency is more than adequate and the impedance behavior is favorable so you can also drive the ProAc Response D30RS very well with a good tube amplifier or Class A amplifier. The balance between comfort and warmth, but also dynamics and transparency provides a very complete listening experience that can be enjoyed for years to come.

This ProAc D30RS set is in an excellent condition and is supplied in its original packaging. All accessories such as the front panels, biwire jumpers, manual and spikes have been preserved and are also included.
